It is 12 F .... -11 C here tonight with fireplace roaring like the Great Chicago fire. Wanting to buy a pair of matched yams for flower pots on the deck.

 That is too cute Darter. Unfortunately bacon comes with four legs and critters that oink. I grew up with those critters and they reproduced without seeds....LOL!

 If only one could grow bacon in their garden, it would save trips to the groc store to get the over-priced bacon that some pigs made. It has been a while since I have bought any bacon, but I got 1 lb from the food bank in the Xmas hamper. The price in the groc store has doubled in the past year.

It's 21F here tonight, after a reasonably nice day. I was able to walk the dog even though my blood pressure was dangerously low most all day.

My Grandpa raised hogs too. When we were little he would grease up a baby pig and whoever could catch it got a REAL Silver Dollar. Kept the old folks entertained watching us chase the piglet on the 4th of July.

Roger bacon here is running about $5 a lb, but I buy bulk 10 lb boxes for us.... that saves a few coins. MUTTs Inc like bacon for breakfast too and get the scrap crap trimmings.
