Just Peachy !  Remember those peaches I got?  They would NOT Peal worth a tinker's "D" To peal peaches you immerse them in boiling water for a moment.  Then into a cold bath to loosen the fuzzy skin and peal them.  This did NOT happen so I removed any bad spots from the peach then cut them into the blender.  I added some grapes and cored out some apples too and tossed in.  I had some Peach / Mango juice I added to the blender. Peaches also require a touch of Almond Extract to retain flavor.  I blended all the fruit  I added about 5 cups of sugar and brought the mixture to a rolling boil for about 15 minutes.  After jarring it up there is just shy of five quarts with that little fancy jelly jar full up front. |

The new dishwasher is running cleaning more fruit jars. I seen a bunch of grandma's 2 quart juice jars in the back of the fruit shelf. I am just beat I had work outside too. With the excellent weather. JD gave the guys the weekend off to rest up and recuperate. I bought shrimp today and we are having shrimp stir fry ... whether JD likes it or not.... Mcy deez is open on Sunday.....

Too bad the peaches were woody and unpealable. However, you still managed to put them to good use and ended up with an excellent blended preserve. Great recovery.

It's really windy here as a slow moving, wet cold front moves in. Snow is in the forecast for Tue night and Wed, but it shouldn't be too much.

Ever since completing my garage roof repair, I have been so tired all the time that I fall asleep every time I sit down. I must have been running on adrenaline only while doing the roof work, and now I need days, maybe weeks for my body to recover.
