DEEP Freeze  Temps are to plunge here tomorrow culminating with a killer frost. I been bringing in all the potted plants I want to save for the winter.  |

JD's been bugging me to bake some cookies...... running the oven is a great way to heat the house.

Hard to imagine freezing weather already. It's going to be in the mid to upper eighties this week. I am enjoying the cooler nights though, I love Fall weather in Texas. Actually, it's cool enough that even I can start using my oven again, cookies sound really good right now.

Too bad that you are far away, Darter, I would let you cook and bake for me all day long. Of course I would share with you.  It was a nice day with 78 F and bright sunshine. Overseas I have a tiled stove (Kachelofen) with two fire places for wood and coal. And you can sit on top, even stretch out, and warm your buttocks and have a nap. Thank you for responding, Maudie! A profile photo gives me the feeling that I am talking to a real person, especially now! I know that a new computer can cause some problems in the beginning. I went through that 5 months ago. I hope, Darter won't mind our conversation on his Blog.
