Finished... FINALLY !

I'd picked up these medallions at a thrift store a few weeks ago. I didn't care for the black and copper motif so I'd play a Martha Stewart on them.

I gave them tWo thick coats of a white semi-gloss paint. Then started in "dry -brushing" various shades of gold onto the raised areas. I had to come back with the white several times to correct my brush strokes.

Here's the finished product and up on the wall in the Beemer Pad.

Been a goofy sort of day. Canned a quart of string beans, froze a bag of sweet corn ( enough for a batch of corn chowder ) Finished the medallions and hung them up. Simmered a batch of beef stroganoff for dinner tonight over noodles whenever JD is ready. Not feeling the best and would like to lay down.

Thank you... It's taken awhile to get them how I envisioned them

Mmmmm The white & Golds just have more "life" to them in my eye.

It took a lot of work Darter, but those medallions look fantastic and make a great addition to the exBeemer pad.

I had a very busy weekend and it was hot in the shack. Didn't get a chance to drop in to chat until very late, so missed everybody.

Do you have sweet corn ready for picking? Some of the early varieties should be available around here by the first of Aug.

They look good...... I have no talent like that, nor imagination to even dream it up.
As for a goofy day, mine has been sort of that way. Arthur-itis visited and my feet were puffy and ached as were my fingers. I was getting prepared to fix some beef veggie soup, and just did not feel up to it. I asked Joe if some tuna salad and tomatoes would be ok. I knew he would say that's fine, and he did.
I don't even know what I want to eat, if anything.

03:00 here and meds wore off so I am awake. Quite a few hours on those medallions just to be hung on the wall of a garage.... oh well... PAIN... bad here tonight.

    Quoting  :

Hit a deal on fresh mushrooms at the store so stroganoff became affordable.

I think I would faint if someone else planned the meals.... I get so sick of cooking and planning. Even just "Let's go out for dinner!" I have to grab my smelling salts.
