Added benefit I quit smoking a couple weeks ago. besides $166 in my billfold... I noticed my spiced chicken sandwich with Mayo at lunchtime with some Pringles chips had "added flavors" I'd not noticed before..... |

I am happy to hear you are noticing the added benefits of eliminating smoking of cigarettes. And those do not include the added health benefits and extra years added to your life. Good job, Bret.

I had a relaxing day with a long dog walk that tired me out. The little puppy dove headlong into a mud puddle and rolled around in the mud. He had just had a bath.

Congratulations on quitting. I quit on 6/10/2021 after being a pack-2 packs per day smoker for over 50 years. I still miss them.

When I was in the 8th grade a few guys were beginning to smoke and wear the Marlon Brando / Elvis black leather jackets to look tuff! LOL One teacher told us ------- In the future you can buy a brick home with what you will have spent on cigarettes. ------- one of 3 reasons I never started the habit. LOL Both of my parents smoked.------ They would gather around a table with friends to play dominoes or card games------- Light their cigarettes ----- inhale----- hack and cough for a few minutes ------like a ritual. I would sit and wonder why would anyone do something that disrupts breathing? Plus I hated the smoke. The other reason not to smoke was later after learning to drive I spent almost everything I had on gasoline / chasing the girls so I could not afford cigarettes. Party On!

It was 83F here today, near calm, clear sky. 87 or 88F tomorrow.

My husband died of Metastasizing Lung Cancer.......It got in his brain and he had seizures....couldn't even swallow in the end.......

I've known many ex smokers who wished they had never started, but never a nonsmoker who wished they had taken it up. We all have some not so healthy habits, but smoking seems to be one of the unhealthiest and hardest to break. Congratulations and I wish you continued success. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
