Think the car said 33 C on the way home that would be about 90 F... Sunny a bit breezy with a 25% chance of T-storms tomorrow. Brought home a big bag of burger & fries... Glad I did we ended up working till dark. Did I mention a few days ago the 4 Bald Eagles that flew over our house... At least 1 adult showing the new babies how to hunt. A really long day with many Plan "B"s in it.

Glad the witch doctor fixed you up with more iron. Is it recycled car parts? LOL!

If you can put a little more weight on your booted foot, does that mean you can ditch the walker?

It was a nice 73F here today, mostly sunny, but quite windy in the afternoon. The 2little doggies took me for 2 long walks, and then I got out the tractor mower to shorten the grass before tomorrow's possible showers. Got 90% done, and the steering sector shaft broke, so I had no steering. Had to push it by hand over to the shop. Took the sector shaft off with the help of a neighbor and he said he will take it to the hutterite colony tomorrow to see if they can repair it. I can't afford to buy a new part, and it might be hard to get for the 21 yr old machine.

The road was too muddy to go to the Hutterite colony today, so I used my amazing welding talent to repair the drag link myself. While I was at it, I drilled a hole on top of the joint so it can be lubricated with oil to prevent further wear. Now it should be good for another 20 years. I checked the price of a new part and it was close to $100 and could take up to 3 weeks to import it from USA. I fixed it at no cost. I then finished the mowing and put the tractor back in its own shed and put the yellow taxi back in the garage/workshop.

About the iron you take...... do you also take Vitamin C with it, or drink something like OJ with it? The docs told Joe to be sure to take them together because the C help the absorption of the iron. When one doc upped his iron to three times a day, the other one said that two times a day was enough because the body can only absorb so much a day, and three was excessive. That is when I asked about B12, even though his level was acceptable. Starting a B12 tablet helped to increase his Hgb, and he only takes that 3 times a week.
Just something to think about and maybe talk to the doc about it.
I check his stool every day for occult blood, so that if it is positive quite often, the doc will check his Hgb to be sure he isn't going to need a transfusion. Sometimes, I feel like I am still a nurse!

Yes ma'am we have a wide variety of juices with Vitamin C in them. Remember my blog on "Fresh Squeezed" I my daily vitamin also contains Vitamin C. I don't want to over do it and may suggest cutting back on the iron after my next blood tests.
