Deeply UP-Set !!!  Max's birthday is close to Labor Day. He's been a friend of ours for many years, I written and posted pictures of them when they've stayed with us. His present was to be an old German Picklehaube --- spiked helmet. It arrived today two weeks late.  DAMAGED Normally I would not get so G D Angry but it was the last one in their inventory and took SiXXX weeks to get here. Bent, Dented, Broken !  The IDIOTS shipped in a plastic bag with a little bubble wrap! WHY it was not shipped in a box marked FRAGILE ! |

Just picking up the late dinner mess..... We had crap to get done outside and dinner was delayed. Relatively decent day 75 F ... 24 C here and the wind didn't blow 80 MPH Chicken Florentine for dinner... skipped the salad.

It frequently seems when crap hits the fan, it hits in several ways in a short time! I would be furious also with the shabby way of shipping, and they would certainly here about it, and I would be getting my money back. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

That would be infuriating for me too if I received a valuable item damaged like that, all because of improper packaging. It's not damage that could be claimed against the shipping company.

Very disappointing indeed. I would be hopping mad too.  The fact that it was the last helmet makes it more annoying. We have had a few things delivered broken too. They were small items, so I had no problem bringing them back to the store and geting replacements.

I'm tired tonight. It was a very long and busy day for me and I am exhausted. It was a mostly cloudy day, a few showers here and there. 64F . Going to be 74F tomorrow. I had to buy some gasoline and it was $7.30 per US gal. Supposed to go up a lot higher than that. I could only spare $60 and that gave me 1/4 tank.

I order quite a bit from Walmart, and am always amazed at their stupidity in the shipping. Lately, breakables have been better packed, but at first, I had more than one item replaced because a glass jar broke! And I stopped ordering oatmeal because too many times the bottom of the container was squashed and it spilled out all over the box. Or.... how about the big 24 inch square box, that held only a small item, with tons of air cushions or brown scrunched up paper? Where did common sense go? It must have died!

I can well imagine your disappointment and frustration having waited so long for the much-anticipated item to have it arrive not only late, but damaged also. Hopefully your replacement purchase will find its way to you intact - I imagine you will stress the importance of protective packaging. It's good you had the foresight to place the order well in advance considering the setbacks - all being well, the replacement will arrive in time for your friend's birthday. Nice-looking helmet by the way. : )
