Eeeebay

I lucked out and picked up this early Confederate States banknotes. They are from a parish in Louisiana in 1862. Pointe Coupee Parish is Northwest of Baton Rouge.

Point Coupee is the oldest white settlement on the lower Mississippi, having been made by some wandering Canadian trappers as early as 1708. Bienville established this place as a military post, before the commencement of New Orleans. These *two banknotes could easily be the last in existence

It's neat to find such treasures. But, excuse me for laughing at your sentence structure. "I lucked out and picked up this early Confederate States banknotes from a parish in Louisiana in 1862." I really don't think you got them in 1862.
