Our May Day consisted of opening a bag of Reece's [pieces and dumping them in a dish on the table.

Happy May Day to you too. It was a miserable, wet and grey day here. Rain stopped about an hour ago.

Our May Day is cool and very windy, not conducive to spending any time outdoors. My oldest daughter just came over for a few minutes and brought us a second bag of morel mushrooms..... 7 large ones. She loves to hunt them, and we always get the first ones she finds. Those we ate last week, but she asked if we would like a few more. Of course!
Thinking of May Day brought back memories of my girlfriend and I picking flowers and taking them to some of the older ladies in our little town. We never told them where we picked the flowers, but sometimes, it was from their own flower garden! LOL.
One cold rainy May Day, we made Carnations out of kleenex and took them as gifts.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Those are pleasant memories of the past. Our May Day was just a Dish of candy on the kitchen table....Grab a handful as you walk by. Made us pulled pork sandwiches for lunch with sweet barbecue sauce. There was a half should pork roast in the store that looked so dang good. Overnight on the crock pot and the meat just fell off the bone.
