I'm brutally honest as well. But never any trouble !
I would say that I am too trusting. Trusting certain people is more trouble than they r worth !

You can get along a lot better with honesty than making something up and later trying to remember exactly what you said.

Trying to see both sides of the story, can end up badly too. I know from bitter experience.
