1960 was the days of Friday night football---cruising around town with windows down----coke floats at the dairy twin drive in-----drag racing out in the country-----parking in the boonies smooching & listening to the radio. LOL

The girls liked the windows down with hair blowing wild in the wind at 100 mph. LOL
One drop off in the highway outside of town would give a sensation of flying when going off of it at 100 mph. That really impressed some of them and scared hell out of others. LOLOL

I had a 55 Ford until 1960 -----junior yr high school I got the 58 Chevy.

Sometimes when I look back on my teen years, it seems like I was either trying to get boy's attentions, or fighting them off in cars......

Sparkle I remember that quite differently.
With a gentleman the girls would become aggressive. LOL
One great song in 60s. -----It's Now Or Never Elvis

A car back then was like the internet today ------opened new horizons. LOLOL
Party On!

Maudie my friend let me guess. When you were a red haired Irish teenage girl you surely had all the boys chasing after you.
If I were in Ireland then---I would have been one of them. LOL
Party On!

Hanky when I was about 12 yrs old I helped a friend remove the body from his Model A Ford -----some of it with a hack saw.
It was a rather odd sight.
We would buy 2 quarts of oil & 1 gallon of gas & he would drive the thing out into the country. Mechanical brakes would lock on one side and no brakes on the other side-----we could make it slide sideways on a cement culvert covered with gravel----sorta like daredevils ---until it went of the side one day. LOL
It wasn't a steep drop----but sort of scary. No seat belts back then.
It had no hood -------only the dash with windshield -------the seat-----and of course the radiator up front of the engine ----- gas tank. LOL
Party On!
