Time for coffee

Today's coffee break is brought by Trenary Toast and US 2....Contrast Coffee roast the US 2 blend a few hours away in Iron River. They do have excellent coffees and I was tickled pink to find this blend locally. Trenary Toast is an ages old rusk Toast made at the Trenary Bakery....I am old so I remember back when it was tossed in a plain paper sac. Now it has a slightly sturdier paper sac. This bakery has been around so long that the babies who cut their teeth gumming this Toast as toddlers, are gumming it again fresh dipped in their coffee while their dentures soak.
These are must haves if you visit.
The town of Trenary is known for two things its famous Toast and The Trenary Outhouse Classics (a winter festival featuring outhouse races). Having eaten the Toast in the photos, I am suddenly hoping the two are not somehow related.

On the website upmatters.com:

The series from Contrast Coffee includes three blends that will be available in whole bean or pre-ground:

Highway US-2 (Light Roast)
Twelve Point (Medium Roast)
Night Sky (Dark Roast)
These bags will also be offered in both 12oz and 2lb versions.

I'm a dark roast coffee fan...if you ever try the Night Sky, let me/us know what you think of it.

I have tried them all, all are very good and work great in the French press.

I don't drink regular coffee so much anymore. I like to go out in the afternoon to Cafe Blenz for my cafe latte. This coffee sounds delicious though. No doubt it would make a very good cafe latte.
Trenary Toast and fresh blackberries sound like a good combination

It does make a good Cafe latte.

I've stuck with Sumatran for about 5 years now. I buy whole beans from a local roaster and order 4 lbs at a time, which gives me a price break. Current cost is $12.00/lb...a bit more than buying it at the store, but it's totally fresh...they don't roast it until I place my order.
