Trash Day

Rufus's Favorite day of the week! If you are a in our neighborhood, there is no better day than Trash Day. This is because our trashman is a genius. He leaves a doggy bone on the top of every can. Like Pavlov, he has trained them to associate his presence with getting a wonderful treat. No problems with being chased by barking growling dogs. They await him anxiously and greet him with wags.

Very clever I'd make friends with a lot of them people say I have a way with animals anyway even without treats

Love the photo of the dog. We have lots of dogs in our neighborhood but they are on a leash and wouldn't be chasing the trash guy. Our trash is in a bin and is hoisted up to the truck to be emptied. I guess it depends on what kind of an area you live in.
