Wanderings and Wonderings

Yesterday work was crud. I was building a custom window unit for my basement and didn't have the right nails for the nail gun. It went on like that from one thing to the other until I tossed in the wrenches.
Instead of twinkle thinking, I went up to the farmers market, strolled through the booths, so many beautiful veggies and baked goods. Now, I have a lovely garden, but it is small and missing some fun things. Kohlrabi is one of those fun veggies I don't grow. This year zucchini is a veggie I don't have. I have a cross pollinated summercchini squash, which is lovely, but I cannot envision it in chocolate cake. I don't even have cake on my own birthday, but give me a fat zucchini and I am baking cake. I promise to use almond flour and monkfruit, so it stays low carb.....sort of, I do not know how to make a low carb, hot fudge, gnoche drizzle......Oh Well.
One of the great mysteries of life, I have a bid in on a property, fifteen more days and I will know......kinds anxious....excited, but totally scared at the same moment in time.
It is a derelict cabin, deep in the woods, on a small pond with a small island. It is salvageable...I hope.
The evening ended with a long winding drive to Fairport.....a tiny fishing village time has neglected. The sunset was gorgeous.

Good for you to know when to say WHEN.... and put a project aside & relax for the rest of the day!!

Here folks at this time of the year are warned to keep their car doors locked. If they don't the back seat could mysteriously be filled with zucchini ~~ LOLOL

Fingers crossed about your bid for that property. It sounds like a perfect spot.

Nice blog about so many things dear to my own heart. I hadn't done any serious gardening for over 30 years until this year when I decided to plant tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and some onions and radishes and I have been pleasantly surprised with the results.

Beautiful photo I am assuming of Lake Michigan. Nothing quite as pretty or interesting here although we have a lot of history around here. I miss the cooler temps as it has been over 90 here again last few days.
