Awake to woke Woke is a term that has been being thrown about in chat from time to time. seemingly with a lot of hatred attached and anger. So from my understanding from what "woke" means, it means "to be alert to injustice and discrimination in society" Especially racism. I am uncertain how this is a "bad" thing. To be aware of the injustices of a society and to want change and work for change seems to be a good thing. If we do not learn from the past it will be repeated. I don't care if a person is against normalizing, homosexuality.... I don't care if you do not wish to have a person of another race in your home. I don't care if you choose to feel uncomfortable with another persons sexuality or clothing choices. To be honest, it is about time Americans stop their dumb sh*t. People of other races, people who are immigrants, people who chose a different way to express them selves or a different way to love, should be at minimal given the respect to let them live Their lives. It should not be used against them as a weapon either in a personal or work environment. I don't care if you believe in "Woke" or not, but do wake the f*ck up. A nation divided is a nation that falls. |

For the record, I am a straight chick that couldn't imagine wanting another woman sexually, so I guess I can be understanding when a gay man feels the same.

Your definition of 'woke' is absolutely correct..... No one should need defend whether they are straight, gay, trans, white, black, brown, christian, muslim, athiest.... etc. etc. etc. I like to think that I am very woke given the definition.

I filed my own taxes all my life. Depreciation, Amortization schedules etc. I never had a problem with the IRS. They were easy to work with. My problems came from the judicial system and attorneys who got control of everything I had and would not let go until there was no money left to bill me for. LOL Those bastards ( buzzards ) have a license to r-pe people. I finally shut down the business and said I'm done in order to get out from under them. The exes attorney kept the property in court for two years on the divorce plus 8 more years in advisement over property division ---most of which I owned before I met his client. LOL She along with her attorney bankrupted herself. I'm still doing OK ----- but much more awake or woke. LOL But she was one helluva good dancer. LOL Party On!
