P is for Peaches and Ponies and Paddling Photo Friday P Precious things. Peaches, This picture is of one of the three peach trees along my drive at Ridge Street. I met more neighbors through those trees than I think I have met people in my life. The trees were on sale, far past a good time to plant for just $5 each. I took the chance and wow did it pay. My neighbors knew all were welcome to partake. I hope the new owner of the home feels the same and shares. Other things my neighbors were free to glean were pears, apples, grapes, blackberries, and rhubarb. Ponies, I cannot tell you how many times a little curly top strawberry blonde would ride this bouncy pony to the point of sleep, fall off and lay sleeping in the grass. If past lives are a thing, I may have worked for the Pony Express in one of mine. Paddling, My and I have Kayaks, we love exploring little lakes and here you can find them all over. This is a little lake we use for another P word, Practice. We do rolls and flips, and practice uprighting ourselves. Hopefully that offers Protection from accidents. |

It is a wonder the water doesn't fall out of the lake.

Just so you know, I did look for a way to position the photo upright. The photos are upright in the first place and the site changes them when uploaded, I did look for some way in editing to change it.

Very nice post! Re the photos turning sideways .. I had that problem too and I couldn't find any way to get them to post correctly. But I did find a way to solve the problem for any new photos I take. I make sure to hold the camera on my phone horizontally with the shutter button on the right. Never had a problem since!

I liked the pony picture the most. It brought back memories of my oldest son's first Christmas. We bought him the biggest bouncing horse we could find, so he could grow into it. At first, we had to help him balance on it, but it wasn't long before he could climb on it by himself. He rocked that thing until it would bounce across the room! Great memories. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
