throwback thursday i located some pictures while cleaning out years of junk. this is a picture of me at my moms and stepfathers house i hate to see it. the once thick black hair is now receded into a silver-grey. plus the smooth face is now lined with wrinkles, crow's feet, and turkey waddle. aka droopy neck)) this was taken in 1969 also: this picture is of a charcoal sketch done in new Orleans in 1971 this cost me $25.00 a sketch like this today at Jackson square french quarter would be a min of $350 to$ 500 today the artist there uses pastel. I am not sure how prevalent charcoal is used there now |

Awwwww Hank, you were so pretty back then. Just kidding! Very good looking young man. Hey, we all grew older, got wrinkles and the hair turned grey, right? The alternative to getting old can wait a little longer. Wait! I still have more dark hair than grey. I want it all silver, but it's being stubborn and won't change all the way. Love the charcoal sketch too!

We also turn silver in various hues in one way or the other.

Love the charcoal sketch too! thank you for your sweet words. i am and have been blessed with good health. i joke about my hair only because it was so thick and black. now it is 99% silver-grey.. my current health is questionable. i was in my attic doing some work a couple of weeks back. a ceiling rafter collapsed and I landed between two rafters. i managed to get up and out of the attic. 3 days later I could not walk. seems I bruised the sciatic nerve/muscle am still in pain.. getting old is not for the faint of heart the only part still dark is at the base of my hairline. the sketch was on a short vacation my soon to be wife took to new Orleans in Sept 1971 as I said on your blog. you were hot. i am sure u still are. why r u way out in texas an i am way over here in mobile. stay the sweet lady you are. MAY OUR PRECIOUS SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, KEEP YOU SAFE.

mam. once upon a time i cleaned up pretty well. thank you for your sweet words. i am and have been blessed with good health. i joke about my hair only because it was so thick and black. now it is 99% silver-grey.. my current health is questionable. i was in my attic doing some work a couple of weeks back. a ceiling rafter collapsed and I landed between two rafters. i managed to get up and out of the attic. I'm ok looking, never thought of myself as a hottie, my girls still think I'm pretty but I don't. Thanks for the compliment though. Why are you there and me here? Gee, I've been to all the states, except Alaska, and there's no place like Texas. Alabama is a beautiful state too if I remember correctly, been years since I was in Mobile. May our Lord watch over you and keep you safe too!

your way to kind to an old man. you indeed r a hottie. i see who u r by your words in the blogs u post. u r a very humble modest lady that knows what she is worth and doesn't mind showing that u take no quarter from anyone. i suspect many men would be intimidated by you. that would be their issue, not yours.. i find a very confident lady very appealing. now, lemme see if I can locate the directions to texas. oh yes. i work for my keep hahaha at nearly 76 I feel much younger. the thing in the attic was an anomaly. i have been all over that attic in the 53 years have owned this shed. i did learn something.. some dumb ass cut corners in joining the rafters from room to room. i now have to level the rafter that fell and scab or sister it into the cross member. i have no been able to repair it due to the pain. i have an 8ft 2x4 standing in the middle of my kitchen holding it up. any way. all my blessing to you and please stay safe.

The artist was very talented, the drawing is very good. I hope the pain from your fall gets better quickly. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
