How tall are the bushes? Do they perfume the air, like Lilacs or Moonflowers do?

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Hi Hank - your mountain laurel looks quite an attractive shrub with its pale pink flowers. I went online to find a close-up of its flowers; they're beautifully designed. I couldn't find any information about its fragrance although the purple flowers (resemble wisteria) of the Texas mountain laurel release a strong scent described as grape jelly, saturating their surroundings with their fragrance in the process. I was surprised to learn every part of the plant is toxic - from flowers to roots and can cause death. Beautiful to look at only.

* just clarifying - every part of the mountain laurel is toxic whereas the seeds and leaves of the Texas mountain laurel are highly toxic (google)

Lilium, scent is a pleasant fragrance not overpowering. not a sweet smell. hard to describe in words but it is noticeable when the wind is not blowing..

Thanks Hank, your description of it's fragrance has me even more intrigued. Perhaps a female neighbour/passerby might be able to describe it by likening it to another scent? Herbal perhaps?
