A secret smile

The secret smile,
is darker than any swirling mist,
that hides in shadows of a meanest danger.
Beware the lips,
that smile be kissed,
those softest eyes,
the secret smile from a hidden stranger.

He will draw you,
into the confines of a sensuous lair.
Mystery fingers will jangle a serious alarm,
such is the want,
for this dangerous affair,
surrendered warmth,
is a confusion of emotion, bereft of calm.

No panic button,
has an eye in this passion’s room,
of deepest red glass and crystal black sky,
and moans of love.
A silent cry rips the gloom,
a sweetest softness,
causes the heart to weep in needing cry.

The secret smile,
is such draw to any dangerous liaison,
A need to know the inside of fantasy’s style.
Then know lips,
which form for love’s occasion,
the inside knowledge,
which hides within the mists,
of a secret smile.

You certainly know your star and planetary signs. Scorpio is definitely Secret and Neptune describes the nature of the current generation. They were right after the Baby Boomers.

I read this as the secret smile of a man and the dangers it could possess.... but it also could be seen as those of a woman. I think of the dangers from a man being more physical, and those of the woman being more emotional.... but both secret smiles being dark and sinister. It's an interesting poem to ponder.

A secret smile, Mrs. Joe is the smile of a couple who know, each what the other is thinking. It is a smile shared only by those who have a deep understanding of the other... Now that, Mrs. Joe is a real get-out!

To smile or not to smile, now that is the question I have to think about that too.

Oh Maudie, never think about a smile. Imagine what others will think when you have a secret smile... And those secret thoughts to yourself. What satisfaction that would be when you refuse to share what it is you smile about... So dangerously delicious.

Hmmmm, strange that I did not see that or think of it even. Seeing your response made me think of the secret smiles I have shared...… and seen between others.
I guess, from my original comment, you might think I have a dark and sinister side. I assure you that I do, but it stays quiet most of the time.

Ah, Mrs. Joe, permit me to share with you a secret smile for your dark and sinister side. I must admit that your bravery in admitting this fact quite shames me because I would never declare my secret nature. Goodness... I fear you no more, Mrs. Joe!

I love it...very good.. got me thinking.

An understanding that needs no proof
too intimate to need understanding
yet appears open and aloof

Too unannounce to be rehearsed
Too expressive to be fake
for the last one or the first

And with the eye connection
It's a truth of one's love
with no alternate selection

There is just one simple rule
accept feeling it.. to be real
not one is fooled... but the fool
