Love is for the brave of heart.

Now that is true, Star Lady. I can state that my heart is brave when it comes to love... But it is the flesh that surrounds my heart that's weak...

It's said that actions speak louder than words, and many feel there is no need for words, but it is still sweet to hear "I love you", when it is truly meant.
In my childhood woes of molestation, I heard those words spoken, but the accompanying actions belied them. I found it silly and insincere when other children would say them to their "sweethearts" and write love notes and I would never reciprocate with those words.
It is by God's grace that I have the capacity for love like I do, and have had the blessing of having two husbands who appreciate it. Those three words now carry such sweet meaning and are spoken frequently.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Good on you, Mrs. Joe... And may you hear those words every day! I must admit, for some reason I find those words hard to say. It's just that I can write the words with ease, while dismissing their depth of sensitivity. Oh well, but I never begrudge others of happiness... Always be happy, Mrs. Joe.

Words do not convey
what touch and eyes can tell.
Spoken in that "certain" way
that does not hear so well
