Welcome to Week 33 – G Week: Pearls' Coastal Capers! Featuring: Grass, Gothic Style Architecture, Grill, Greek Salad, Geese GRASS American Beach Grass (Ammophila Breviligulata for you botanists!) at sunrise, Haigis Beach in September of this year. The sound of the sea breeze and the swaying of the blades of grass adds so much to this photo in live mode. Wish I could post it that way here! GOTHIC STYLE ARCHITECTURE According to the Dennis Historical Society, the South Dennis Village Library (in my photo) is a “... former 19th century residence, cobbler shop, and the home of a poetess … one of the town's four little libraries. Probably moved to this site in 1856 from a Yarmouth church campground, it was first owned by John Rose, the first Portuguese resident of the town. It became the South Dennis Free Public Library in 1918.”. GRILL Because Cape Cod is a tourist area, restaurants are everywhere! I know some people prefer the fancy ones but I like the kind where you can order takeout and walk a few steps to the beach to enjoy it. The Sea Street Beach Grill is a perfect example. Run in and grab some soft serve ice cream and walk a few yards over to the benches overlooking the beach. Can't wait for spring! GREEK SALAD Mmmm … Greek salad! Layer it in a jar, pop it into a padded cooler with a couple of bowls and forks and you're all set. This is “how we salad” at the beach. GEESE Canada Geese at Bass River Park this past summer. Thanks for joining me for Pearls' Coastal Capers - “G week”!

GEESE CANNOT SAY I LOVE THOSE CREATURES. ONE TRIED TO EAT MY SKIRT IN ITALY MANY YEARS AGO AND ONE TRIED TO BITE MY RIGHT KNEE AT A PARK IN NICE A FEW YEARS AGO. BUT THEY DO MAKE A NICE CHRISTMAS DINNER. ALL MY BEST TO YOU FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

Some great shots there, I love the one of the Geese, we regularly got to our local lake and spend time with the Geese.

Clever way to make a Greek or any kind of Green Salad. I am going to make a few and store them in my refrigerator. I can savor one while watching the birds in the snow outside my window. There are no geese but a lot of cardinals, crows, and squirrels.

A hectic week, and I'm running way behind, but am really enjoying see the Foto Friday pictures, even if it is Tuesday! You see grass in the first picture, but I see sand and water. So relaxing. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
