Welcome to Week 30 – D Week: Pearls' Coastal Capers! Featuring: Delicate, Damage, Daisies, Dock, Dancing DELICATE I was walking past the Pelham House Resort in Dennis Port back in early September on my way to take some photos at an adjacent public beach when these delicate flowers caught my eye. These were part of the resort's nicely done landscaping. Not to be outdone, the wildflowers growing at the beach were spectacular too! DAMAGE A storm-damaged fence at Cold Storage Beach. I took this photo a little more than a week after the remnants of Hurricane Ida moved through the Cape. Beach maintenance in this area is typically very good but I'm sure they had other more immediate concerns as a tornado had touched down during the storm only a few miles away. DAISIES Merrill Memorial Conservation Park can be seen from a busy road. I happened to be driving past it when I noticed these daisies in bloom … in mid-October! First frost is late on Cape Cod because fall coastal weather patterns are influenced by the ocean which is still warm from the summer. DOCK The dock at Aunt Julia Ann's Landing in early May. This is one of the many public boat launches on Cape, and a real winner if you like tranquil riverside views. DANCING A seagull practicing the Hokey Pokey dance (“You put your right foot in. You put your right foot out ….”). I had fun preparing this photo to post it. I took in in “live mode” with my phone so I was able to select from the multiple images one that had the gull's foot up as he was getting ready to take a step. Thanks for joining me for Pearls' Coastal Capers - “D week”!

Lovely "D" photos, Pearls. I love the beautiful delicate pink flower, and the pretty daisies. That Seagull has the right moves alright.

To me, all the photos look delicate and a feast for the eyes! Thanks for sharing.

GREAT PHOTOS. WE HAVE SAND BERACHES BUT NO DUNES. OUR CONCRETE DOCK WAS SPLIT IN TWO BY HUGE WAVES AND OUR GULLS ARE DANGEROUS. NOW THERE IS A D, DANGEROUS.

By now, you know me well enough to know how I enjoy the pictures of the water. I can't quite see it clearly, but that looks like a bench on the end of the dock.... I could sit there and watch the waters, or on the bench by the gull.... except I would be afraid he might drop some Do-Do on me. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I very much enjoyed your 'D' offerings, especially the delicate pink blooms and sand dune/damaged fence. It's not often one comes across a seagull doing the hokey pokey in such earnesty, so what a find! You have a very promising student Pearls.
