Welcome to Week 22: Tour of Cape Cod – V Week! Featuring: Vista, Vegetation, Volkswagen, Vegetarian, Victuals, Verdant, Vacation, View VISTA On “M week” I posted a cropped photo of a moored motorboat. This is the full photo before cropping, an overlook in Harwich Port called Vista Point. I love this little turnout and have gone there several times to photograph it. VEGETATION One day in early July I was at Scargo Tower gazing out over the lush green hills, Scargo Lake, and the ocean beyond. My daydreaming was interrupted when I thought I saw something moving in the brush. It turned out to be this little guy and three or four of his friends! After a little more exploration I found a sign placed by the company that owns him explaining that he is part of a natural vegetation management system. VOLKSWAGEN Following the Town of Yarmouth's Sand Sculpture Trail back in August I found this VW Bus sculpture by Fitzysnowman. Not surprisingly it's sponsored by a shop called Instant Karma which is fondly referred to as a “hippy boutique”. VEGETARIAN … maybe even one that you know. VICTUALS Another fine work by sculptor Fitzysnowman. Victuals - a hearty mug of New England Style Clam Chowder! Sponsored by Captain Parker's Pub in Yarmouth. Curious about what is considered “New England Style” when it comes to chowder? Comparing the three local types of clam chowder, New England style has a creamy base (not clear like Rhode Island style chowder), and it does not contain tomatoes that are typically used in Manhattan style chowder. VERDANT This photo of a verdant riverbank has special meaning to me. It is the view from my hotel room in 2013 when I was on Cape shopping for a new “forever” condo. It was a life changing trip! VACATION The Cape has a dizzying number of vacation accommodations to choose from but if I were a visitor I'd narrow it down to something directly on the water in the mid-Cape area. The Ocean Club on Smuggler's Beach comes to mind. I plan to redo this photo in the spring when the wildflowers out front are in bloom, and maybe even find an angle that shows the open ocean behind the hotel. VIEW A few weeks ago I posted a cropped and lightened sunrise photo of Clancy's Restaurant on the Swan River in Dennis Port. During the same session I captured a different angle of only the river. This one is unedited. Thanks for joining me for “V week” on Cape Cod!

Love all of your photos Pearls! You always come up with a nice selection of photos with descriptive words to accompany them. Nice photo of you as well. I love the photo of the goat peeking through the fence. Well done Pearls!

I love the concept of the Vegetation Management. I wouldn't mind have a few goats around here but they would ended up eating my pumpkin plants. There are plenty of Dandelions for them the eat.

As I looked at the pictures, I wondered how a V was going to fit into the scheme..... especially as I sat and started at a GOAT! LOL.... I especially liked that View. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Beautiful Cape Cod waterscape offerings, especially the glorious sunrise with its intense colours. Equally, a beautiful, natural you.
