Welcome to Week 18: Tour of Cape Cod – R Week! Featuring: Robbins, Rosa, Rabbit, Rocks, Rowboat, Restaurant, Rhododendron, Reflection ROBBINS HILL ROAD BEACH The summertime parking restrictions have finally been lifted and now I can get back out there to enjoy some sunrise photography! I took this photo a few days ago at Robbins Hill Road Beach – Mant's Landing in Brewster, MA. The streak that looks like a comet is actually a jet contrail. ROSA RUGOSA I have tons of photos of Rosa Rugosas that I could have posted but I chose this one because the season is ending and this rose might be the last one I'll find this year. Also, that dark spot in the middle of the flower adds a little interest. It's a bee! RABBIT Back in July I was at Bass River Park in West Dennis to photograph the Canada Geese and look what I found … a Cottontail Rabbit! I expected him to scurry into the underbrush as soon as he noticed me but he continued eating breakfast for a while before hopping away. ROCKS Natural coastal rock formations are not that common on Cape Cod so I'm pretty sure the rocks in this Sea Street Beach photo are a man-made barrier to reduce coastal erosion. ROWBOAT This rowboat planter is a great way of welcoming visitors to Corporation Beach. I was happy to find it still full of blooming flowers even late in the season when I went over to grab a photo of it this past week. RESTAURANT Special effects! A candy colored sky surrounds Clancy's Restaurant on the riverfront. RHODODENDRON A Rhododendron shrub in full bloom the first week of May in my front yard. REFLECTION Part of a previous photo shoot in which I featured wildlife at Crab Creek, this shot instead features the stillness of the water and the reflection of the trees and sky. Thanks for joining me for “R week” on Cape Cod!

Grand photos, as usual. I chuckled at Mr. Rabbit.... wondered how you got it to sit still for the picture or if you took it with zoom from far away. I must be having an off day though, because your pictures of the ocean brought tears to my eyes, remembering good times and knowing they can't be repeated. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

A beautiful selection of "R" photos, really pleasing to the eye. I love the cute little rabbit, and I did spy the bee in the pretty rosa, and the rhododendron shrub is a real beauty. My favourite is the reflection in the water photo, just so peaceful and still.

I love your selection of "R's" Much appreciated because I live in landlocked West Virginia. The "Wabbit" is adorable. We have plenty of them in West Virginia.

The rabbit was surprisingly unconcerned about my presence. I think I was about ten feet from him when I took that photograph and he just kept munching away as I took lots of photos!

I also pick the hips and dry them for tea.......... I have really enjoyed your alphabet photos...

Thank you! Here's the inside scoop on the Clancy's photo .... I took it at sunrise and it was such a dark photo you could barely see the restaurant. Well, after much editing I was able to lighten up the building enough to discern it but in the process I turned the sky and river candy-colors! I almost didn't post it but then I decided that I liked the colors even though they gave the photo a surreal look.
