The countdown is on! Eleven more days until the Cape parking policies revert to "off season". It's a big change I look forward to every year because during high season I can only visit the beaches in my own town and only during posted hours. The restrictions are lifted after Labor Day. Yay!!

I would love to take that Piggy Bank home. He is so cute. I am also a teetotaler thus Virgin Pina Coladas suit me just fine. I usually sip on tonic or seltzer with a twist of lime during social situations. Beautiful ocean scenes seem to be your forte. Well done!

Welcome to Week 16: Tour of Cape Cod – P Week! Featuring: Paine's, Pina, Pink, Passerines, Pirate, Piggy, Pleasant PAINE'S LANDING In the town of Brewster on the quiet side of the Cape, Paine's Landing is a perfect place to drive right up to the shoreline and gaze out over the bay without even having to exit your vehicle! PINA COLADA This week's still life is a Pina Colada. Well, sort of. There's no alcohol in there because I don't drink but it still looks and tastes yummy! PINK BLOSSOMS During my recent photo treks I have started to notice how much energy the homeowners and businesses around here put into their landscaping. I don't know what kind of tree this is but there were about a half dozen of them in a row edging the parking lot at my local grocery store. When I took this photo early in May they were all in bloom at the same time and it was pretty magnificent! PASSERINES I admit to hitting the dictionary again for ideas for this week's photos! On a positive note I am learning lots of new words. At Bass River Park these passerines (perching birds) in the top right corner of the photo are watching over the flock of Canada Geese below. Geese have a bad so I was a little nervous about getting close enough to take this picture. But other people were approaching them without incident so I took my chances and everything was fine! PIRATE Miniature golf must be a huge interest for vacationers because it's everywhere you turn on Cape Cod! This course is called Pirate's Cove. The figure of the pirate is so lifelike I almost expected him to speak or wave as I approached to take the photo. PIGGY BANK The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod had a fitting idea for their entry this year in the Town of Yarmouth's Sand Sculpture Trail … a piggy bank! Another fine example of sculptor Fitzysnowman's talent! PLEASANT ROAD I may have posted this photo on a Throwback Thursday a while ago. It's one of my favorites because it was the first beach photo I took when I moved to the Cape. This is Pleasant Road Beach in Harwich at sunset.

I know I will enjoy all the pictures, but I'm still sitting on the rocks in the first one. LOL. Great photos on your walk around the Cape..... those Canadian geese remind me of a small flock of them I saw Thursday evening on my way home from town. We had a lot of rain, and the field was muddy and filled with puddles, so I guess they decided to stop over for the night. I did have my camera along with me and snapped a few pictures. Hi Pearls, as soon as I saw the first shot, I fell in love - perfect (I would love to frame it). The pink blossoms would have been such a pleasure to see. Thank you for this weeks 'P' tour around Cape Cod, I enjoy your offerings.
