Relationship must have a solid foundation 4/30/2005
I am not a silver nor a gold member here.. I just want to share
my thoughts...
I believe that any relationship must start with sharing.
ie communication... One has to learn the value of being
honest to open up, at least initially...
Friendship nurtured by honesty, sincerity and guidance
from the Lord is one of the many ways by which we could really
feel ...

Good relationships - a personal definition 4/9/2005
To me, a partner that appreciates relationships are a journey,
not a destination is fundamental.
As on any journey, experience is enhanced by relection
over time. Yet I hear many suggest they defintely want this
or absolutely need that in a relationship right now - or
else!
Having preferences is natural, but reducing a relationship
search to a shopping list ...

Nice Guys Finish Last? 3/25/2005
In dating, is it generally true that Nice Guys always finish
last?...Is it because Gals want/admire guys who project
the excitment and confident arrogance of the "Bad
Boy"?....Do some girls have social misconceptions
that confuse Lust with Love?

Easier Said. 1/19/2005
There are times when it is harder to 'say' it than
to 'do it' whatever the 'its' might be.

For example, when I told my lady 'it's over, '
it was a result of care reflection about how much more of
myself was I willing to give to one who had no appreciation
of love's meaning.

It was far more difficult to say than to follow up with action. ...

In Progress 1/9/2005
A relationship in progress is a very nice time; it's
new with no 'history' to spat about or, ideally,
unrealistic expectations.

I have a few phone conversations with a lady I met online.
We're the same age and earned our masters at the same
school. We are both professionals and would like something
more personal than those we must encounter daily.

Jazz 1/8/2005
I can think of no better analogy to a personal relationship
than jazz.

When I put on my musician's cap and sit in on a jazz session
it is usually with musicians I'm performed with in
the past. There are times - and probably the most fun - when
a group get together who've never played before.

The common thing said by at least one of is, "There
are no ...

Does "chemistry" exist? 12/5/2004
I've been wondering what the chemistry is for a long
time.
Does it exist at all? Ok, it happens that you do feel something
strong for the person. But since we are humans and most of
us arthink, sometimes that chemistry thing seemse able to
to confuse me a lot. Should be rely on that too much?
I would like other members' opinion on that.
I've been disappointed a few times in my ...

Response to… Why Hurt Someone you Don’t know. 11/13/2004
Firstly, nacsingle, remember that this is the internet
(cyberspace, in other words), so expecting to find honorable
people here all the time is simply a fantasy! Just a little
bit of advice here, when you meet these men, do you feel if
they have paid attention to you, that you may be coming on
a little too strong…maybe too many hopes…reading into
their feelings too quickly? ...

How can a relationship even start when you live so far away from the other? 11/8/2004
I am getting more disappointed because the men who respond
to my ad live so many miles away that it would be almost impossible
to even start anything up...emailing is fine, talking
on the phone is fine, but I want a warm body not some computer
keys or phone receiver...anyone else feel that way? What's
it take to attract someone who lives within 30 miles or so
of home?

For some people, their word is their absolute bond. For
many others, their word is part of the game, and the only
bond that they will honor is a particular document, prepared
with a particular ritual, and another statements, verbal
or writen, are part of the negotiating process, and therefor
non-binding.

I want to thank everyone who has responded to my article.
All your answers and comments are helping me more than I
can truly say. To me you are all great friends. I surely will
listen and read all that everyone has said. Yes, there was
someone who got between me and my marriage. My brother died
and his widow seduced him and he moved in with her. I know

Reply re deadbeats... 10/21/2004
First of all...I don't know if the statistics are right
or wrong that are quoted. Personally I don't care.
I know that I don't want to be involved with someone
who is less than straightforward in meeting this type of
obligation. No person should be a deadbeat when it comes
to support. If you want to mess around with your ex
regarding spousal support that's one thing and is
between ...
