Much like my maternal grandfather, my childhood and early years were challenging. I didn't acquire hearing aids until I was in my mid-20's which resulted in "talking funny." Thus I was labeled "weird" by my peers. I did discover Astrology and suddenly every one wanted to talk to me. They talked to me mostly about themselves, potential love lives, other dreams and aspirations. I discovered that I liked listening to folks and using "God given" intuition to help give them some insight.

This is a path that some folks might not approve, but it works for me. If someone wants to label me "weird" so be it. That happened in my youth. When I look at my Astrological Chart - All my planets are on the East side of the chart. This is the indication of a free and independent spirit.

I wish society were not so shallow but they are. My theory is that we are all like Jonathan Livingston Seagull and his Earthbound pigeon friends. Everyone progresses and eventually learn to soar to great heights.

CP3 gossips on 7/19/2021 1:50 pm:
Well star told **** he has a big stick, but I highly doubt that's true. I doubt he's got a stick at all.

I don't recall having that kind of conversation with **** or anyone else. I can only speculate that themselves desires to be the one with the big stick. Themselves is welcome to that perception. Life on life's terms

Thread Lightly is ACTUALLY a nonprofit organization based in Utah about responsible outdoors recreation. Travel Responsibly, Respect the Rights of others, Educate Yourself, Avoid Sensitive Areas, Do Your Part

AND - Under the right circumstances - those big sticks and even the little twigs can be used to build an awesome bonfire for cooking smores.

TheMASKPoliceTheMaskPOLICE - Everyone Loves the Mask Police?!!

When the mask mandate ended in West Virginia, it was far more satisfactory to burn those darn things versus burning bras in my years.

There are different schools of thought on the masks. I respect them all. I had the option of staying home and having amazon deliver groceries, I would mask when I absolutely had to shop and socially distance myself from anyone masked or unmasked. When the vaccine became available I opted to take it.

Nevertheless, I can respect someone who make difference choices. Frequently, it was the y0unger people taking the risks and hits.

My step-s0n is an essential worker a Convenient/Fuel Station. It is possible to fuel without going into the store but they have to go inside to beer and lottery tickets. He had a mild heart attack a few weeks before the pandemic and his wife is on dialysis. He masked and kept on working.

My older s0n is also an essential worker. He monitors the pipelines to protect the environment. He caught the FiretrUCKING virus a week after getting the vaccine despite masking work. Everyone in the work room caught the virus. He felt badly, took days off, and returned to work minus his ability to savor the taste of Cherry Coke Zero.

My y0unger s0n is in the concession business. He was a Fair in Florida when the pandemic . The Fair was shut down, and the entire crew had to return to West Virginia and go into quarantine. He said that it was the longest vacation that he ever had. He found a and they played disc golf, and did a lot time on the hiking trails He turned the into a and now they are both back on the road.

What I find annoying are the Mask (now Vaccine Police!) They get on social media and rant on what other people are doing or not doing. I made the choices that are best for my personal scenerio.

I respect others who make different choices. I know a Vietnam Veteran who was told that Agent Orange was harmless. Yeah Right! His doctors are not even suggesting the vaccine for him. His girlfriend's mother was in long term/ palliative care. She was diagnosed with Covid a few days after she received the vaccine. She died shortly afterwards. The cause of death was listed as COVID-!9. Yeah Right! Follow the $$$$ and the true motivation - statistics and $$$$$ - can be found.

Masking certainly didn't help the woman's grandkids (both essential retail workers) from getting Covid nor is there any guarantee that the vaccine will work.

Different Choices, Different Scenarios - I am very happy to be part of the herd that provides immunity for other. NAMASTE!!!!!

Otis the Jade Plant - Java Plant - Jefferson in Philadelphia and his abode.

OTIS the Jade Plant came from a cutting from my Quaker Girlfriend's Jade Plant which came from a cutting one of Deni's Church Lady friend's Jade Plant in Maryland. I sent a cutting from Otis the Jade Plant MrsJoe who is another prayer warrior in Illinois.

I lived in Charlottesville, Virginia for a time and one of my favorite places hang out was Monticello - the home of Thomas Jefferson. There are several hiking trails surrounding his plantation. The last picture is the slave graveyard which is not gated like the graveyard that has his mortal remains

I only met him a few times. We stayed in San Francisco where he lived for a brief time. He and his wife were in a fatal car accident in the 70's at which point we found out that my mother had a half brother.

I researched his life at years later. He was in trouble with the law at a very young age and sentenced the Preston School of Industry at the age of XIII. This school was meant to teach trades so that they could be productive citizens but there are also tale of abuse. The Reform School is said to be haunted.

My grandfather turned XIX and was transferred to San Quintin Prison where he stayed for a little over a year. Upon his release, he relocated to Chicago where he met and married my grandmother. They were married at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church. Shortly after my mother's birth, he was picked up by the FBI, detained, and eventually released without any charges being filed.

My grandmother went to Kentucky with my mother and filed for divorce. She married the man we called "Granddaddy." I often heard my Granddaddy ranting about Jews, the N-Word and others. When I started dating a Jewish man in my last year of High School. There was friction from my family and I backed off. I wished I would not have. He was a good man.

A few years I prayed, Dear God, No More Stupid Relationship. Most of the time if a date is arranged, he does a "No Show No Call" I figure it's a lucky escape courtesy of my Higher Power.

Miracles do exist. I have a Date today that ACTUALLY show Up!!!! I have been talking to this man for a few years. I took a trip to Washington D.C. close to where he lives and suggested that we meet for coffee.

The man is absolutely delicious Hot Chocolate with Beautiful Qualities inside and out. I am not sure he know how to take me. I have an politically incorrect sense of humor.

He is a retired D.C. Police Officer so he showed me where the cops hang out for breakfast. Secret Service, President Protectors, CIA, FBI, Ad Infintum. D.C. has lots of cops.

I told him how my sister and I used to work at the local donut shop in Los Angeles County. We were cop groupies and compared notes on the various officers. We could blackmail the Gardena Police department.

I also shared about some of my experiences when I worked in a near Hollywood California and my experiences with a crooked Los Angeles Cop.

He talked about some of the murder cases that he worked on.

I told him my fantasy was to compromise his virtue under the Liberty Bell. Pennsylvania is too far - he replied. So the other option is to go skinny dipping in the Reflection Pool. I suggested. He avoided the Reflection Pool and drove us the Police Memorial Site Guess what - They have a Reflection Pool. He overlooked that fact. There was a look of sheer terror on his face. I assured him that his virtue was safe. I NEVER go skinny dipping until the third date. I think Officer Hot Chocolate was taking me way too seriously. LOL!.

Ghosting at Wal-Mart & Beyond!!!!

I have often fantasized about returning to Wal-Mart as a ghost and haunting a few folks. I have a list.

Aunt Pitty Pat who had me written up for saying "D*MN!!" He was a youngster who would bark orders at the older cashiers in a way that was less than respectful

. I requested time off with medical LOA to care for my husband who was in hospice. I summited all the paper work and thought all was well. It was a very intense two weeks taking care of Grumpy. My older and I were with him in his final hours. I called the hospice and mortuary service.

I checked my phone messages as my dead husband was being wheeled out of the house. I hear Cruella DeVille's obnoxious New Jersey accent. "You have SEVERAL unexcused absences (most likely because they lost the paperwork) Blah! Blah! Blah!" She is definitely on the list.

There are also a couple of customers who considered service workers safe for them to mistreat to exert what they perceive as a superior status.

All those young supervisors who told me to move my aging aching body are on the list. Hpefully, they wil be closer to my age with the maladies that go with it.

I would ask Grumpy to join me. He would get on the riding cart and it would look like it was operating by itself. I would throw things off the shelves and mess with the cash registers.

So NOW............ there is one more individual that I want to haunt. My darling Landlord. When I was recovering from surgery - I was told "Don't worry about the housework!!! I will be the first to admit that I am not a Domestic Goddess but it REALLY got out of hand even by my standards. I started looking for housekeeping services. West Virginia works by local recommendations. There are no agencies or advertisings. I finally found someone through my spiritual community. She arrived yesterday on the same day that "Mr. Soon to be Haunted LANDLORD" was due to inspect the apartment. I sent him a text message that a housekeeper was coming in at IX AM and that he would be much happier if waited until she left. I had been up the previous night straightening out the living room which doubles as an office and the hallway. I was also doing some work in the kitchen and bathroom moving VERY slow. I was still away when she arrived. I asked her to focus on the kitchen and bathroom while I took care of the rest of the house.

She did an amazing job accomplishing things that I struggle with. After she left I went to take a nap because I had been up all night. I got up at about XIII hours and check my text. He was knocking at my door while I was zonked out.
I communicated to him that the porch need sweeping, the carpet needs shampooing and the bedroom was a mess. I kept the bedroom lock but he kept insisting that he need to get in there. So he rants because the bedroom is a mess. the carpet need cleaning, and the porch is not swept. Dah!

I am soooooooooooooo going to haunt that SOB!!

When I was a youngster, I loved going to the Catholic Church with my Great-Granddaddy Miller. I learned to play with candles and talk to the Saints. I would go back home to my usual church and be told that worshipping the Saints was a sin. I never looked at Saints as Gods - I considered them God's helpers along with angels, fairies, gnomes, ancestors, ad infinitum.

I am fortunate that I found a spiritual community that allows me to be who I am.

I don't tend to give my Higher Power a "Honeydew" List. he's not Santa Claus (although technically Santa aka Saint Nicholas might be one of God's Helpers) We do have our conversations. .

Six months ago, I did an VIII day candle ritual with St. Jude and Guadalupe asking for a healing. I was plagued by digestive pain that was REALLY aggravating. I kept the candles going and got VERY sick for three days. I wasn't stable enough to drive myself to the doctor. My alternatives - call an ambulance - if they don't keep me, I would have to figure out how to get home. I could tough it out and either get well or stable enough to drive to the E.R. I finally was able to drive to the E.R.

The hospital kept me and ambulanced me to a hospital in Charleston for surgery. I asked for a healing and that's what it took.

I was warned that recovery from this surgery might take "a while." I talked to the nurse on the phone about my messy house and she advised me "don't worry about the housework." Dang! I am not a domestic Goddess by any means but it really got out of hand. So I started, "asking for recommendations" for a housekeeper. A friend suggested, the local committee on aging. I called and was told that there is a VERY LONG waiting list. Oh Joy! Can't they just have a list of housekeeping businesses. I don't mind paying someone for their talent and energy. No such luck.

I got a love letter from the landlord. The landlord is a real cockalorum aka self important little man aka bully. He is doing his yearly inspection for potential repairs that most likely won't get made. He will be checking my bedroom for unauthorized men, marijuana, and inside tobacco use. "Don't worry about the housework" is not an alternative.

So............Another VIII Day Candle Ritual.

I started l asking Saint Jude and Guadalupe to help me get my house in order and it would be much appreciated if this problematic hip gets fixed. No half measures solution. Lets just get it fits so that I can go geocaching again.

Lo and behold, a member from my spiritual community sent me a recommendation for a housekeeper. I called her and she is coming Monday morning. I texted the landlord and advised him to do his white glove inspection later in the day or even the next day. He will be much happier if he does. He grumbled but either he deals with it or he doesn't.

I work up yesterday morning feeling less pain. I started cleaning the house but might actually get it clean enough for the housekeeper when she arrives.

"Got It" - My Conversation with HP Today!!!

A earlier blog inspired gOOgle Search - Hamlet and his famous soliloquy To Be or Not to Be................

It is funny how a person can read and see the several times while gaining new understanding every time. Hamlet was having a conversation about the enduring pain of life versus stepping over the other side.

I was having a similar conversation with my Higher Power today. I am sooooo frustrated with my problematic hip. I will go to the doctor and he say, "no no you are not ready to get it replace and recommends an injection that works for about a week. I want to run a 5K, I want to go hiking, I want dance again!!!! I want to clean my kitchen without going "ouch owwww owwwww! I told my Higher Power if this is the way the reminder of my life is going to be, let me cross over to other side and start over again. I don't give God orders but I will and scream when things are not happening my way.

I was leaving the apartment head a meeting. I was hobbling the car with my cane. I encountered my neighbor who was heading her apartment with her four pronged cane. We had a conversation about our struggles with housekeeping chores. "The landlord is going write ," she said. "Don't worry, he will be writing too." Suddenly, I didn't feel so bad because I am not only one struggling." We both laughed and went on to our business.

I shared about it at the meeting. One man came after the meeting and telling me that his wife was a massage therapist and could help. I have hired her before. Another woman recommended two doctors at the clinic where she works. So I have some phone calls to make Friday morning.

Maybe my Higher Power was listening to my b*tchy whinny self after all I don't have to deal with it the same way than Hamlet did.

Technically my last name starts with an "I" which in Hebrew means "God's Laughter" My and I both share an outrageous sense of humor.

Ice Cream is my favorite frozen treat. The first picture was taken a few days ago at the WVLocal, a new coffee house that just opened in town. I was trying to show off my Jewelry, nail polish, and ice cream while taking a photo with one hand.

The second picture was two years ago at the West Virginia State Fair. Walnut, Bacon, Caramel Ice Cream. Yum!

The Third Picture is the Instant Pot!!!

Picture number four is the International Step Convention in Atlanta - 80 Years. When I started out they were celebrating 40 years

Picture number five was a stop that my and I visited while I was attending the International Convention.
