SORRY MAISIE, NOT EVERYONE FEELS THE WAY YOU DO

In Maisie's blog, she wrote:

"Those in here who call for peace, calm, and " let's all get along" remind me of that dowager Aunt, who could not understand why we felt the need to protest, or the old guy across the street who would scream "You get off my lawn". They were the sort who were willing to let the world pass them by, as long as they were not disturbed."

I put up a blog about voting on posts and I said about what I read in her post. It turns out that not everyone, myself included, wants to have fighting. Wanting to get along is not a sign of weakness or wanting the world to pass them by. It is that we come here for a good time and to hear from our friends. Like you Maisie, I am passionate about my beliefs, and I think that's great. I admire that in you. Do not take this as a negative thing. I respect your right to express your opinions. The only issue I have is, you are making it that those who don't want to have fights are in some way, lesser people. That isn't the case. I think most of us choose our fights and don't look to have any, when they could be avoided.

WHAT'S THE SILLIEST SONG YOU EVER HEARD?

Let's have some fun!!! I personally think the song by Randy Newman called "Short People" is the silliest one I ever heard. It can also offend some people. What song do you feel is the silliest? Please provide some lyrics to it. Here are some lyrics from "Short People":

Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
To live

They got little hands
Little eyes
They walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People

VOTING ON COMMENTS - I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS

I was just looking at a blog post and seeing that comments were voted on. I then looked at mine and saw that there is no option to vote. My questions:

1. Is there a setting to turn on/off voting?

2. What is the purpose of voting? I looked at a blog and all this blogger's friends' comments were given many positive votes. The opposite for those he/she doesn't get along with. What is the point?

One final comment. I just read a post that said that people want to see fighting here. That it shows we have passion despite our ages. I personally DON'T wish to see fighting. I will stand up for something I believe in but prefer not having anything to stand up for. When I returned to the site and saw the fighting was still happening as much as before, I was tempted (for a moment) to leave. I didn't because of the wonderful people here who aren't looking for fights to brighten their day. There are many things one could be passionate about, without the need to fight in order to exhibit a lively spirit.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

DO YOU LOVE YOURSELF? DO YOU HAVE MANY REGRETS?

I have met many people due to my work and because I spend so much time online. There is something that stands out to me as being really sad. I have met many people that don't love themselves. They give unconditional love to others but not to themselves. I find this more in the case of women. If they are overweight, they are especially self loathing.

I am far from perfect and I have made more mistakes than I care to remember. Some have had lifetime consequences, like having no . You know the song My Way, "regrets, I've had a few, but then again too few to mention"? That's NOT me. I have a ton of regrets. The one thing though is I do love myself. I am flawed but I know I have done my best. If you can look in that mirror and see how special you really are, perhaps you can learn to love yourself. Those who take it a step further need professional help. I am not a psychologist so that is beyond the scope of my post.

WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?

I read this article and I was disgusted. What about you? Here it is:

"A Bulgarian tourist has been blamed for killing a swan when she dragged it out of a Macedonian lake so that she could take a picture with it.

The unidentified woman is seen smiling in photos, tugging the distressed white swan by its wing, before leaving it on the shoreline of Lake Ohrid to die, according to Macedonian International News Agency.

She reportedly stepped into the lake and dragged the swan out, shocking onlookers from her large tourist group.

According to the witnesses, the swan was peaceful and did not react to the woman approaching it, as they are use to the presence of tourists.

She then took a picture and left the swan, who “remained motionless on the beach after the encounter” and died later on, according to MINA.

A similar incident happened just last month when a group of tourists in Argentina pulled an endangered baby dolphin out of the ocean to take seflies. The animal ending up dying causing a global outrage."

WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

If money and health wasn't an issue, where would be your favorite place to go for a week or longer? I would go back to Italy. I would probably stay in a central location so I can see Capri, Positano and back to Venice. I had to give up Capri in order to see the Amalfi Coast in 2014. It probably was a good decision but I'd like to see Capri. I wouldn't take a cruise this time. I would spend at least 4 days at each city. How about you?

I have said this before and I will again. If you have something you want to do, don't put it off such that it may be too late. That is why I took my trip, to avoid regrets.

Pic 2: Positano

ARE YOU A CURIOUS PERSON?

I was writing this post and suddenly it disappeared on me. I dislike that so I will try to remember what I wrote. I am a very inquisiitve person. I ask many questions. I don't like unsolved mysteries. I want to know who did it and why they did. Many have grown up with the notion that one should accept everything they are told, depending on the year they were born. I grew up questioning what I was told. It had to make sense.

Sometimes questioning things can be very beneficial. I sincerely believe EVERYONE should take an active role in ones health. When I say that, it's because doctors have many patients. We have only one life. I was once told to get an operation for a problem I had. After researching I found a better one for the same condition. I asked my doctor and he said that operation was good for me. I found out later from his nurse, he didn't say that operation to begin with due to budget cuts. I was mortified. Also, my dad died due to a negligent doctor. This isn't a medical blog. It was really about not taking everything at face value. It is about asking questions and making sure things make sense to you.

WORDS THAT FEMALES ARE CALLED

I was having a discussion with a guy recently and we do tend to around. He jokingly used the word bitch and I said that is one word I really dislike. He was just fooling around with me, for the record. Some men use that word during sex play, as I found out from my , but for me it really turns me off. We started talking about other words for women like broad and some words that would offend some of the ladies here.

What words do you men use to refer to women during everyday talk and during sex talk? Does the woman in your life appreciate it or dislike it? Ladies, what words do you like used to refer to women?

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS BECAUSE IT IS!

Galinaexpert wrote a blog post that disturbed me today. She is promoting Russian women who want to come to foreign countries to meet men. In it, she is also promoting a book. I write erotica and I don't think that promoting books is allowed on this site or I would have many to show. I won't be doing that.

This is what I wrote on her post:

I don't know who you are but it was nasty to attack those who wrote comments. There may be women in Russia who legitimately want to find a man to love in a foreign country but I think that is the exception rather than the norm. I have a friend that got caught up in such a scam and gave "her" thousands of dollars. She was supposed to bring herself and her to Canada and they were supposed to get married. My guess is that "she" wasn't even a woman. He never met her or heard her voice. Scams happen often and they prey on the lonely, as he was. I warned him but he was so anxious to have a woman that he paid out more than he had. He ended up in debt.

The reason I am writing this is to warn any lonely guy who considers bringing over a woman from a foreign country, to be very careful. My friend ended up with nobody and felt worse and in debt and bad about being taken in by a scam. As the expression goes, "IF it sounds too good to be true, it is because it is".
