FAKE PROFILES AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT THEM Well, I can't say how it works for the ladies here, but since I've been here (1 month), I've blocked over 30 profiles of woman members who are here for illegitimate reasons. Some are easy to spot (30-ish, good looking lady hotlisting me from a far away place) but some aren't and can fool you. So I wanted to share with all the real people here who aren't aware of it an internet tool that can you weed out the phonies and stop them from, at best, wasting your time. You can use Google to do a "reverse image search" on any photo you chose to. I recently copied a profile photo here and found it to be a stock photo on website that provides images for business uses. It's easy to do, just right click on the image and then click on "save image as". After you save it, go on https://reverse.photos/ and you'll be prompted to upload the image you want searched. It's pretty self explanatory from there. I'll be letting my membership expire here but thought I'd pass this along before I'm g. Hope you find this ful. Happy Holidays to all and stay safe.

Many of us who have been around here for years can almost smell a fake profile. As for letting your membership expire, memberships don't expire. The silver or gold ones do, but that doesn't mean you are gone..... you can stay as a standard member and still enjoy some of the benefits, like blogging and chatrooms. Of course, those fake profiles will still attempt to contact you, but that is just par for the course. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Most of us recognize a fake profile and don't need any apps to weed them out. Always suspect are people far younger than yourself, those in certain counbtries hoping to get a ticket to Europe or to North America. Stick around, we older folks can be a lot of fun.

Just about every day I have a message in my mailbox from one of these fake people. invariably they get deactivated by the powers to be at SFF. Their grammar is the worst and you can smell them a mile away like Mrs. Joe says.
