It's an old photo.....taken in our boat-shop probably 1980......It was an interesting building......tall thin trees with the branches and bark removed with axes and huge draw-knives, They were placed in trenches, fastened at the bottom and then bent inward and fastened in the center.....a curved A-frame shape and then then roofed with hand-split Cedar shakes........

It looks to be a technical but ageless craft.

I'd like to spend some time watching them build that boat.

Wonderful craft work, made with loving care.

Lovely boat Sparkle. It has very intricate work on the bottom of the boat. Someone must have had a fun time putting that boat together.

Interesting K photo, and to see a piece from your past. I'm just skimming through blogs I've missed over the last few days. Although I didn't comment, I enjoyed your reef and under the dock blogs. The latter one brought back memories of my childhood, when a friend and I would wade and explore a little creek near her house. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
