IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL? YOU DECIDE. There has been much debate on this site. Some say about how bad things are, with the fighting and such. Would I prefer nice and pleasant? Absolutely. However, I prefer to look at it the positive way. There are many great blogs and many great people at SFF. I never felt so much a part of any site. I made friends that I really care about. Some of you I don't know and I've tried to get you to write about yourself. Those that I do know, I really like, with few exceptions. So, is SFF a good site for you or are you too negative to see that it's worth being here? YOU decide. If you decide to remain, why complain about being here? Just enjoy yourself. Elaine Shuel |

Interesting blog Elaine. There was always arguments and battles going on here as far back as I can remember back as far as 2005. Some were every bit as nasty as what you're seeing today. The only difference back then was a much bigger community of really great bloggers and it was easier to side step around the arguments and ignore the hassle. Keep up the good work I for one really enjoy your blogs

I think most of the people here want a good time. It is always sad when one bad apple spoils the bunch. I think the lesson is, we can't let them. Let's stay positive!!! Thanks for your comment, Bill. Elaine Shuel

Thanks Pat, I read your comment on that blog you are referring to. I am banned there so I couldn't make any comments. I can just watch the blogs posted. Pat, I wanted to write you privately to tell you what I'm about to say, but I don't have your e-mail. When I joined there was a glitch and you thought I banned you. I didn't and wouldn't. You have become one of my favorites on this site. Your comments are always welcome and I love reading what you have to say. I just wanted you to know that.I consider you a friend. Elaine Shuel

The part of the glass Alfie and I use is half full, the rest is half empty!

Sometimes both

I think my glass is half full. I m still discovering new things about people and like Pat said on her comment I don't read all the blogs and for sure the more controversial ones. I must admit I have a few favorites and I keep track of those by using the watched list. It is the way it is and I am sure there are many others who think like I do.

So far so good Elaine, most of the people I have met I like, there's only a few I would rather not have anything to do with, and that doesn't mean I hate them, or anything like that, just not interested in what they have to say. So yes, it's half full and I'll enjoy what I can here on SFF.

I never complain...except on one issue. It's one thing if a writer of a blog makes their editorial decisions. I am generally very open in this regard. However, I prefer that people who comment on my blog refrain from the use of vulgar language. I think that after this occurs, if I find a compelling reason to ask someone not to use vulgar language on my blog, its reasonable to expect that the preference be respected. But, for some strange reason, these people in some sort of dysfunctional logic decide to double down on its use, regardless of how readers of my blog might feel. Disagreeing on issues is one thing...but the persistent stalking for the sole purpose of spewing vulgar language is beyond bizarre. Elaine Shuel

This site opened up for me a whole new world of wonderful people. I've especially enjoyed meeting many of them at gatherings/bashes.
