Too funny! We women get loads of those from male scammers who obviously think seniors are that gullible (or hard up). I don't even bother responding.. i simply block & delete.

Hey guys, those young ones aren't looking for any ole jerks, just money scams and perhaps a green card!!! LOL

rainier,
Since you seem to be the definitive authority on scams, and like you posted on my first blog, only one conclusion can be reached, with your train of thought. Men are Stupid. I see you are 79 years young, and I have no idea how you spent those 79 years.
I will tell you how I spent my 63. Working the mean streets of this country, and in foreign ones.

In decades of law enforcement, I worked exactly 5 scams on older ladies, that had given their life savings to some unknown person they were corresponding with.

Either by email, advertisements, in classified ads, or post office. This entailed tens of thousands of dollars, that was just gone. The worst part, there was nothing I could do. Non-extradition treaties, Communist countries that we didn't have diplomatic relations with. Dictatorships that no one had diplomatic relations with.

How do you tell a woman that has just given $80,000 to some unknown person, they are never getting it back, and there is nothing I can do, and you are going to end up living on state aid, for the rest of their life, cause there is nothing left.

P.T. Barnum once said, there is a sucker born every 7 seconds. A female is born 6.7 times out of every 10 births. You do the math. Its too depressing for me. Everyone can be scammed, under the proper set of circumstances. Even me, Even you.

Hi Flame: Every time a telemarketer calls my number or a scammer writes to me, it is so surprising to think that there must still be people in the world buying things from these people or sending them money. If not, there wouldn't be any telemarketers or scammers left.

I can't even imagine any circumstances where I would buy anything from a telemarketer or send money to a stranger on the internet, but I think you may be right when you say that anyone can be scammed under the proper set of circumstances.

When you are ready to give away everything you have, and have worked for you whole life. That can be summed up in one universal word;. LONELINESS.

When its so overwhelming. so powerful, that is the only thing on your mind. Some way to stop facing the inevitable conclusion to everyone's life, of being all alone, and no one is going to care.

To them, male or female, they know in their hearts, its a huge risk, they take it. These are not stupid people. Just desperate people doing stupid things, and have heard exactly what they want to hear.

Everyone, can fall into that trap. The trap is closed, before you even knew what hit you. If I can save just one person from losing their lifesaving's by doing what I was trained to do, then we win. The people on this site, and other legitimate sites like this have one have less obstacle to have to steer around. .
