As stated, it isn't about revenue, it is about control, the desire of the ultraliberals. If they don't like something, nobody should have or do it. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I don't smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and I almost never buy sodas. Last Summer I was at a picnic and grabbed a diet soda. One woman kept berating me, "Don't drink that - it's poison - throw it away!" Dang! Can't I have an occasional vice? Booze and cigarettes are out of the question. I don't mind a modest sin tax if it is used to help the sinner. Booze tax are alcohol treatment centers. Cigarette taxes to help nicotine addicts. Senator Manchin proposed a penny tax narcotics for treatment centers for addicts. Personally, I think the pharmaceutical companies should pay for the damage that they do in the name of profit. The problem is that the "Sin Taxes" don't go to helping the sinner. They go into the pockets someplace unrelated. Abracadabra
