Cherry blossoms time in Tokyo, Japan Spectacular Cherry blossoms do attract Japanese and tourists alike! It is spring time now in Japan---time for visiting parks to see the spectacular cherry blossoms! Japanese are ready for “hanami” (Japanese word for "flower viewing"). The cherry trees are now in full bloom. The delicate pink and white flowers could be seen everywhere in Tokyo. However, in the northern part of Japan, the trees are expected to be in full bloom later according to dedicated websites that faithfully forecast the expected blooming times every year. The Tokyo bloom period is expected to end on April 1 and after that the delicate flowers would gradually die away. In the furthest north part of Japan, the cherry trees are yet to be in full bloom! The h of the cherry blossom season in this part is expected to be in the end of April. Interested readers may please view the photos posted below to enjoy the spectacle! Source : Internet. |

Beautiful. Are these the kind that produce edible fruit? Who gathers it and what is done with it? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

We have a huge Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia when the trees are blooming. In our town 30 miles east of Macon are several cherry blossom trees at the old Central State Hospital across town from us. The hospital used to be the largest mental hospital in the world but another country now claims that fame.

Karin..... Thank you so much for your post left here on my blog. The Tokyo and other City parks nearby are full of visitors (both local and tourists) enjoying the short living but spectacular Cherry blossoms displays! I missed these beautiful scenes while I had the opportunity to visit Tokyo in 1984 as it was not spring time in Japan at that time! While Staying in West Germany in 1976, I came across many such trees there but unfortunately not in bloom. Because I left the country in winter! Hope to see the pictures of your blooming Cherry trees uploaded here when received by you from your daughter! Meantime, stay happy and cheerful always

Beautiful. Are these the kind that produce edible fruit? Who gathers it and what is done with it? Along with the chrysanthemum, the cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan. Hope this will find you happy and well. Take Care.
