Don't say Gay Florida enacted "Don't say Gay" law" "The bill that liberals inaccurately call “Don’t Say Gay” would be more accurately described as an Anti-Grooming Bill,” DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw recently tweeted. “If you’re against the Anti-Grooming Bill, you are probably a groomer or at least you don’t denounce the grooming of 4-8 year old . Silence is complicit" Over 70% of the people in Florida support this bill.... What hope does this country have..when it's people can be so easily manipulated into something they would normally oppose. Understanding is a necessity to agreement. A minority has a specific view of what "Gay" means... and what "grooming" means.. that the majority would denounce... but they have the ability to manipulate their views into the main stream, an agreement without understanding. |

First, they believe that one's sexual orientation is a choice, or is an abomination.. Second, they believe that exposure is "grooming"..and not just about sexual orientation. Third, this would prevent any gay couple..from attending any school event.. whether they be administrators, teachers, or parents. It would also prevent gay and transgendered children form attending school, if allowing them was a school policy. Fourth, by design, to stigmatize a child who would even question their own sexuality. Without ever considering the possibility that child could be their own. The only truth in this statement is that "silence is complicit". And if you ask... Who am I....I will tell you this.... I am the least Gay person I know. The thought never even crosses my mind..I don't mean never now.. I mean never ever. I don't consider myself better than most... I just consider myself luckier than most. I have enough decisions in my life to make the almost impossible one about sexuality. Empathy doesn't have to put you in someone's else shoes. Sometimes is just understanding the hardship of a decision, you don't have to make, that other people have to make...From the "WOMB" to the tomb..

I have my opinions about 'grooming"..The least of which is sexual orientation.. society, culture, television, other media, advertising, and violence... all subtly "groom" children" But you can take all the potential grooming and combine it... and it would even come close to the "grooming" control parenting has.... For parents.. the easy way out is to blame it on other stuff...because they know not what they do.

Also, most societies in the world....have traditionally acknowledged non-binary and/ or intersexed and/or homosexual people. Their language and society have words and roles for those people and the strict binary, either male or female was not adhered to in the way it has been in modern western culture and we are now just returning to a kinder, more inclusive understanding of gender....Some people can't keep up with cultural transitions, but by the time our grandchildren are our age, that strict binary will be very different....Look how much it's changed just in our lifetimes.......When we were born, boys were told they shouldn't cry...that the only emotions men were allowed were anger and horny.....I watched as my son and son-in-law and their generation of men nurtured their babies and empathized with tender feelings.......And women have jobs that only men had a century ago while some men choose to be stay-at home-dad.......Societies are always changing and gender roles are part of that.
