Geriatric support for Trump

It's very simple........

WE remember everything that happened thirty years ago....

but forget what happened yesterday.....

The mind is a curious thing.
Except when it's not curious

I love that remark Cricket. Every day that passes now I realize how much more there is that I would like to know. I'm so thankful for the internet. I find it thrilling frankly. I never seem to get tired of exploring. One thing that is now a regular part of my life are these podcasts. I like to listen to them during my walks at times. It's a different kind of listening...when you're exercising at the same time. It's deeper in some ways. You not only hear what is being said, but you sometimes find your mind is so engaged that it seems like you are in the conversation.

So not only do you read, cut and paste all the Left wing nonsense you can find, but you take it with you , so it can be drilled into your head as well.
Goody.

Actually, you don't annoy me in the least. I find your narrow mind rather pathetic, the stereotype views of most college age liberals, and the source for a good laugh most of the time. I would think you could find a more productive use of your time than annoying me. I had no idea you were so obsessed.
You always fold like cheap suit when confronted with facts that deviate from your Fantasy World.
Party On , as TX would say.

It's important to remain curious.

I am curious about everybody here, even those I disagree with. Which sometimes seems like everybody. But still, I find people interesting, my curiosity about them sheds the light on me.

It goes way beyond subjectiveness about ideology, but has lot more to do with people.

WE see people here different..... you see the ideology defining the people... I see the people defining their own ideology.
You see people on your side and on the other side and the people who don't express their opinion about politic. I see the loud spoken, the soft spoken, and those that do not speak at all, as expressing their opinion. In many ways, I side with those who don't express their opinion. They say a lot more than you hear.

You see agreement and disagreement. I don't see the particulars of that, I only see how people express their agreement or disagreement. Those that want to "battle" it out.. I oppose the most.

It takes me awhile to come to conclusions about people. So as I write this, I understand with you.... I'm just spitting in the wind. You want it all spelled out for you, well, It's never ALL spelled out. It takes a curious mind to figure it out and
You're not curious.

Interesting read. What I see is how people see themselves and how they handle introspective thought. There are few that are able to process that intellectually, but then you know that already. Great column Cricket.

We can dissect ourselves from the people here. Everybody here is a part of your own being and thinking.
We can reject some here, but still they can show us a part of us we have chosen to dismiss.
I can you use as an example, but at least your example makes more sense to me. I don't profess to read your mind, but outwardly can draw some conclusions. In your case the racist and the gun owner, are just not that far removed.
There is a part of you that is racist and self protecting and bullying. Once you recognize that in yourself, it easier to accept those that have gone way beyond the scope of acceptability. You certainly don't have to accept their actions, but it's important to accept them as human beings

WE are more the same than we are different. although we choose to accentuate our differences. Make our differences the right or wrong of it, when there is no right or wrong of it.
We choose to create a conformity of thought, where there can be none.
We can't evolve with conformity, both as a society and as an individual.

My fault in all this is the same fault everyone else has.
I believe we all are going through the change, just like me. I can't accept that some aren't.
I'd say where I am different is in what that change is, it doesn't matter that much to me. I just have a belief in being human, and our similarity results in what's meant to be.

with old age comes an unrealistic view of things.
where ideas meet reality......

I think of getting in shape, running a marathon (how about just running?), driving across country, healing myself, becoming more of the person I always wanted to be.
I think it could happen...........

I ignore the reality and the real challenges I face, like picking something up off the floor
and putting my pants on without falling over.

And so it is, with politics..... where ideas meet reality.
We want the way, we THOUGHT it used to be. We want to SEE some control over our lives, We want to be HEARD

When the real challenges we have are just to THINK, SEE, and HEAR.
