Looking back As time passed away Right or wrong Each and every day The choices, the fates judgements of a life The loves the hates The toils and the strife The correction of chance conforming to a plan The control of happenstance A measure of a man If only I could change a moment now and then a life to rearrange A life that's heaven Can there be love? without heartbreak Can I fly above? if no below to forsake A measure of truth without the lie A moment of uncouth That proper does rely Is life pass or fail? The answer to the quiz Do we play or travail? Or is life, what it is Yet who am I? If not who I am Should I ask why? Or even give a damn |
