What did God do for us? God had provided a solution for our lost relationship. Jesus Christ came do what we could not do for ourselves. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten , that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3 He came into the world to bring us to his Father. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ ” (John :6) He died in our place to the penalty for our sin. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us God, being put death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18 He rose from the dead show that his claims were true. “For I delivered you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain the present, but some have fallen asleep.” (1 Corinthians :3-6)
