Legally Yours.

Bible in one year:
2 Kings 4–6

Luke 24: 36–53
The Spirit he received brought his adoption into sonship
.
Romans 8:
Today's writing and intuition
:
Romans 8: 1–2, –
Liz wept with joy when she and her husband received her 's birth certificate and passport, making the adoption legally binding. Now Milena would always be her , forever part of her family. As she reflected on the legal process, Liz also thought about the "real trade-off" that occurs when we become part of the Jesus family: "We are no longer subject to our birthright of sin and brokenness." Rather, she continued, we enter the fullness of God's kingdom legally when we are adopted as his .
In the days of the Apostle Paul, if a Roman family adopted a , their legal status would change completely. All the debts of his old life would be canceled and he would obtain all the rights and privileges of his new family. Paul wanted Roman believers in Jesus to understand that this new status applied to them as well. They were no longer bound by sin and condemnation, but now lived "according to the Spirit."
(Romans 8: 4). And those whom the Spirit guides are adopted as of God
(vv. -). Their legal status changed when they became citizens of heaven.
If we have received the gift of salvation, we too are of God, heirs of his kingdom, and we are united to Christ. Our debts have been canceled by the gift of Jesus' sacrifice. We no longer need to live in fear or condemnation.
Reflect and pray
How does your status as a of God affect your way of life? What could you do to embrace this central part of your identity?
God the Father, you created me in my mother's womb, and you know me and love me. May I never doubt how much you care about me.

It's beyond our human mind's comprehension...... just how much God cares for us.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
