Windows Bible in one year: 2 Samuel 1–2 Luke :1–24 You will go out with joy and be guided in peace. Isaiah 55: Today's Scriptures & Insight: Isaiah 55:6– Near the foothills of the Himalayas, a visitor noticed a row of windowless houses. His guide explained that some of the villagers feared that demons might sneak into their homes in their sleep, so they built waterproof walls. It could be said when a houseowner began to follow Jesus because he put in the windows to let in the light. A similar dynamic can take place in us, although we may not see it that way. We live in terrifying, polarizing times. Satan and his demons instiigan furious divisions that divide families and friends. I often feel like hiding behind my walls. But Jesus wants me to cut into a window. Israel sought refuge in higher walls, but God said his safety was with Him. He reigns from heaven, and His word governs everything (Isaiah 55:–). If Israel were to return to Him, God would "have mercy on them" (v. 7) and restore them as His people to bless the world (Genesis :1–3). He lifted them , eventually leading them in a triumphant parade. His celebration "shall be by the renown of the Lord, by an eternal sign, which shall endure forever" (Isaiah 55. Sometimes walls are necessary. The walls with windows are the best. They show the world that we trust in God for the future. Our fears are real. Our God is greater. The windows open us Jesus—"the light of the world" (John 8—and others who need it. Reflect & Pray Would you say your life is more wall or window? Why? Is there a person or situation I need be more open ? Almighty Father, flood my heart with the confidence of Your love.

That confidence takes time to develop. Sometimes, there is is confidence, and sometimes there is common sense.... it's important to learn the difference. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I have been hearing so much projection about future gloom and doom but somehow I can't fret about it. I look for the light each day and I am confident that it will be there tommorrow. We don't see the whole picture. Abracadabra
