Make Overs and The Field of Dreams

"If you build it, he will come."
quoted in The Movie "Field of Dreams"

A man hears a voice and build a baseball field in an Iowa Cornfield with the vision that Baseball Players and the Spectators will come.

I have my own vision and dreams. I want LOVE at a deeper level. But Alas, in recent years - I have been a major league tomboy. Sports Bras, Blue Jeans and Hiking Boots. The Gentlemen that I attract tend to think of me as one of the guys which is okay for a hiking buddy. Occasionally they do request benefits so maybe they do recognize that I am female once in awhile.

I've decided to apply the law of attraction and build my own "Field of Dreams." I just started a wish list with Fredericks of Hollywood. Corsets, Body Stocking, Stiletto Heels and even Dresses. Amazingly, I found Bras for my full figured double dd's.

I've been watching a program called, "What not to wear" with all kinds of suggestion. I am not sure I will throw out my hiking boots but there will be more high heels in my closet.

Build the Vision and the Dream will come. It's the law of attraction.

Well....sounds to me like a good idea! I agree, don't throw away the hiking boots. Besides I think the men will definitely form a line, waiting to see you all decked out. Yes indeedie. Don't forget the little apron

Double DD bras are in most of the upper shelf stores. I don't know what kind of quality you will find at Fredericks...but if you go to JC Penney...usually the Lady that attends that dept. can help. They also have a small class on this very topic. [they will measure you, correctly and help you to pick one that is suited, just for you]. I forget how often she said they were? She also told me by going to a double D, that you can go down a size. For example if you were buying a 38D...you could go to a 36 DD.

[perhaps this should be in an email, -but I imagine there might be other, full figured women out there that aren't aware of this]...so I chose to share the news.

Actually, there is a section of the PCPenny Site that gives instructions on how to properly measure for the right size bras.

Star, in getups like that, don't you think you may attract the wrong kind of man - not unlike that truck driver you often refer to with disdain

Trading Blue Jeans and Hiking boots for a Dress and Heels doesn't mean I am going to attract the wrong kind of man. I usually wear Sports Bras. I learned from What Not to Wear that a proper fitting bra will actually lift and cause the waistline to look smaller. Corsets and Body Stocking obviously would not be worn in public places.

THanks Barbie for your info....
Star- I also wear DD's and find the best bras at Target, of all places.....their Gillian O'Malley and Hiilard and Hanson brands are very comfortable, and many varieties.
Target/Mervyns same brands...
I dont like Victoria's Secret because they seem geared to the younger crowd. I cant say that I have ever bought anything from Fredricks, although I think I have been given a gift from there a time or two.
Macy's and JCPenney's has great lingerie for the "mature" woman. Have you looked at Adam and Eve online?

Now Im telling on myself, huh~~~~~

Sounds like you have quite a plan there...I don't think it is so much what we wear but how we feel in what we wear that comes across to the men. I have had lots of expensive lingerie but found most guys seemed to prefer sharing a pair of pjs or me in their shirt & heels. They do like heels....LOL I wear dresses & heels all summer and men always seem to compliment me on that.
I order my bras from Nordstrom..if there is a store near you they are wonderful and changed me from 38DD to 36DDD and it fits like a dream..was going to say glove....LOL
Good luck with your mission...RED
