Is this Karma or My Dumba$$ Character Defect

It has been my experience that when a situation repeats itself, it means I need to apply the lesson to the repeat situation.

When I was dealing with an abusive male supervisor, I reported it in a less than professional manner and immediately started looking for another job. I was fired but had to apply for unemployment and had to go through several legal battles all the way to the ciruit court which I eventully won but what an emotionally exhausting experience.

The situation has repeated itself this time with a female. It is amazing - I was well respected and liked for doing the same job with the same company in Texas. Suddenly, the "Lead Associate" is constantly berating me about my "poor job performance" in front of other associates and customers. If it's a character defect, I can fix it but I am not sure this situation will improve. It has been my experience that People like her don't care, they don't change and management will back them.

If I complain, I come across as the poor whinny victim.

I immediately started looking for another job.
I found it. Almost twice the $$$$$$, closer to home and better hours. Dang, I can have a life and $$$$ to live it.

The resignation letter was short and sweet.

GOOD for you!!

No one should be demeaned in front of others.....it shows how small minded she really is, and I suspect, green eyed....

star, i am glad that things are better for you. please make sure that you send a letter of explanation to the corporate headquarters of the company you just left. they need to know that there is a 'lead' person in their employ that needs a reality check. otherwise, she has successfully bullied another good employee into quitting with no repercussions.

I always say when someone does what she did, she is jealous that you do your job better than her. Somehow in their twisted superior ?? mind they feel they have the upper hand. To say something in front of customers is totally wrong. Report her by certified letter to the home office. That way you know they received it and the certified letter gets their attention.

Good luck in your new job.

Good fortune smiled on you (in a round-a-bout way)! Best of luck with your new job.
