One Yellow Plus A Dozen Red Roses From Texas Trucker Usually my birthdays pass by quietly but not this year. In fact, for the past few years - my little life has been quietly passing by. However............ Since I started talking to MrGeneEnis - My little life has suddenly livened up. This Morning I checked my post office box - birthday cards from my California g/f - My older (amazing) and my Texas Trucker. There was also a CD from Louis Armstrong (and I think to myself what a wonderful world............. )   I walked over to the flower shop which is owned by a friend of mine. There were a dozen red roses with one yellow rose. A bag of chocolate kisses, a Stuffed Teddy Bear and a singing balloon. I placed them all in the car and headed home for the hills. The Balloon kept bumping on the ceiling and started singing Happy Birthday. It suddenly flew out of the window and floated up the the sky still singing Happy Birthday. Ferlin the Mutt started barking at the balloon. I was laughing and praying that Gene did not pay a fortune for that singing balloon. When I got home, I discovered that the Silly looking bear has batteries and sings too. If I eat all those chocolate kisses, I will get so fat that I would never fit into his truck. Nevertheless, I'll drop a few of them into my coffee and think of how sweet Gene is.............  Abracadabra  |
