BearTown & Joy of Finding Rent-A-Dog - Geocaching Story

BearTown, Hillsboro West Virginia

Beartown State Park is located near Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park. This wild and remote hilltop contains huge rocks and boulders strewn about a dense forest floor. Wind and rain have eroded the deep crevices and walls of rock in an eerie fashion, almost as though they had been carved with a special purpose in mind.

where I began the search for

Goldilock's Worst Nightmare

This is a virtual cache which means there is no actual cache planted, it's a location. It took longer to drive to the park than it did to find the cache but it was a marvelously scenic view.

after nabbing Goldilock's Worst Nightmare - I drove to the Greenbrier River Trail in search for

Rent-a-Dog
N 37° 54.594 W 080° 19.200

I didn't find this one a few weeks ago but found it this time. The GPS coordinates were going bonkers because of the rockwalls and trees. I was sitting in the spot where the coordinate were suppose to be and suddenly spotted the cache. I left a travel bug and took one out.

50 State Bug #14 is going to Lexington, Virginia in a few weeks

Ivan URSA MAJOR is the travel bug that I activated to honor my oldest . Ivan URSA MAJOR is being launched off in Rent-a-Dog and it's all good.

Star, I guess I'll just havt to come up to Beartown and go through one of these experiences with you to have 1/2 clue what you are describing.
For instance, when you find something, what is it physically, not metaphysically? What is a travel bug? So many questions; so little space.
