WV State Fair, Covid-19 & Well Wishes For Texas Governor

The WV State Fair is back in business taking a break last year courtesy of Covid-19.

My y0unger s0n was interviewed on the news. He is in the concession business . "His quote "I did unemployment and sat around in the house hiding from the virus" He also pointed out that they are extremely busy this year making all the m0ney they didn't make last year.

He didn't tell the whole story. They were at the State Fair in Miami, Florida when it was shut down. The whole crew had to return to West Virginia and go into quarantine for two weeks. His home was gone, his car was wrecked, and his girlfriend replaced him for an ex-boyfriend despite the money that he was sending her. He couldn't go home to Mama.

I have to remember that my KlDS have a Higher Power too.
I loved seeing divine intervention taking place for my s0n.
0ne of the FlRST lessons I learned my my XII Step Spiritual Advisor was blind faith move and they've worked for me over and over again.

He moved to a friend's farm, helped them out financially and workwise as well. He replaced the car, rescued a dog, and trained it to be a dog. He spent time on hiking trails and played disc golf.

I am so proud of the way that my BAYEE B0Y had bounced back from adversity. Tough times never last but tough people do.

Granted there are some who hate all things Republican but that is their issue. Texas Governor Greg Abbott tested positive for Covid-19 despite getting the vaccine. He was opposed to mask mandates which most likely don't work regardless. Although the Governor tested positive, he is symptom-free. Love, light & well wishes for Texas Governor Abbott.

My 0lder s0n sent me a message that he caught the FiretrUCKING virus despite wearing a mask at work and the getting the vaccine. He took days off of work and luckily recovered quickly although he lost his taste for Cherry Coke Zero for awhile. Much like my yOunger s0n, my 0lder s0n spent a lot of time on hiking trails with his s0n.

I took my s0ns hiking quite a bit when they were y0ungsters. Maybe they learned something from their 0ld Mama.

There were four cases of Covid-19 tracked to the Fair. The same crew has to stay together in the same place for the entire event. I have been hobbling around with a f0ur prong cane. The Ladies room is about 500 feet behind the building I work in. I have to maneuver the back of the livestock area and try not to step in the animal dropping. It's fun but it will get me to Biloxi.

Your blog brought back a lot of fair memories for me. Growing up, before my dad was killed in a farming accident, we went to a lot of the county fairs in central Illinois. My folks worked for a farmer whose two sons showed Black Angus cattle at the fairs and we hauled hay, straw, and feed to them every few days. I loved the smells, sights, and sounds although the animal barns was usually all we saw.
My husband was also a farm boy and we took in the county fair and the state fair most years.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

So sorry to hear your son had to go through all that, but like you said, tough times never last, but tough people do.

I miss the farm life when I was a kid, it taught me quite a bit and helps me here at my small little farm, minus the cattle and goats, though I have thought of getting a couple of goats to eat what the horses don't. I never participated at the state fair, but I had some cousins who showed their cows and pigs, it was fun.

I'm sure our governor appreciates all the warm wishes. Never understood how some people could wish another dead because they belong to an opposing party. Our governor may not be perfect, but hey, who is?

It's not easy watching my son go though such a rough time but we all have to do it at some time in our lives. He came out of it a much stronger more confident young man and learned a lot of what Mum has been telling him for years.
