Summer Solstice MMXXI, Father's Day & Cherry Coke My oldest s0n is celebrating Father's Day #iv - His financial realities are far greater than mine so I am often hard pressed to find an appropriate gift. I usually manage to find something meaningful that will make him laugh. Earlier this year, he sent me a message that he caught the "FiretrUCKING" Covid-19 Virus. This was a few days after his first vaccination. My s0n and his wife have been very careful and conscientious about protecting themselves and the public. Still, as an essential worker not on the list on priorities everyone in his workspace caught it. He felt like crap for awhile but was able to go back to work within X days. He went back to one of the old building that he used to work in. He found a case of Cherry Coke Zero in his locker. This has been really difficult to find during the pandemic. He opened the can in anticipation and it tasted like seltzer. What a bummer. A few weeks ago, I asked him if his taste buds had recovered. He assured me that they had returned to normal. I sent him a jar of cherries with the joke How grams of protein are there is a cherry pi? 3.14159265 A few days later a case of Cherry Coke Zero arrived for him. |

Trying to find unique and meaningful gifts can be a challenge, and sometimes an idea just presents itself. I have a few of them on my memory shelves and have given a few over the years. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I don't often drink sodas , but when I do my choices are Coke Zero or A&W Sugar free. I tried Cherry Coke Zero but thought it too 'sweet'. Overall though, my favorite carbonated beverage is 'craft' beer.
