Throw Back Thursday - Fairies at the Fair - Thank You MrsJoe

]West Virginia State Fair 2019 - I work at the State Fair every year. I was looking at the different displays and noted the Fairy Garden displays. I thought I could do that so I started looking for fairies. They started coming from all corners of the nation via the USPS.

Along comes the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 which cancelled the State Fair. So my Fairies had stay on hold. Sometimes God timing which does not coincide with my timing is perfect.

This beautiful angel came in the today. She has wings just like the fairies and I think she might fits perfectly with my Fairy Garden Display for the 2021 West Virginia State Fair.

Thank You MrsJoe!!!!

I am looking for a unique container for the garden. It will be fun putting it together.

So what's the difference between a Fairy and an Angel......They are both representations of imaginary creatures.

I have a similar one, just posed slightly different. I didn't know if she would be too big for your fairy garden entry, but I knew you would enjoy her.
I like mine so much that I haven't put her outside yet, but let her recharge in the window during the day.
That's the problem with solar stuff.... I have to go outside at night to enjoy it.

I would be very hard pressed to identify, locate and convince actually fairies and angels to frolic among my rosemary, basil, mint, jade and other sacred herbs. It is just like your flying Barbie with the nails in her head. Is she an actually fairy or she a plastic doll with nails in her head. It's creativity and art that brings joy to others. People often stop at my apartment porch to view my fairies, gnomes, dragons, (real or otherwise) and herbs. On a positive note, it scares JW's away. I am sure that your nail head Barbie would have the same effect.

There has been so much rain that I am afraid it might damage her. I think she is going to have a permanent spot in my window. Right next to the Blue Dragon and Crystal Balls.

A lovely display of fairies, and the lovely angel is making herself at home among them.

My "Toxic Waste Fairy" is an ironic representation of the horrors of Consumerism.......a meta fairy.......Is that what yours are too?

In your blog, you make a distinction between two figurines which are both of children with insect-like wings....You called one a Fairy and one an Angel......I can't see the difference, so I asked you.......You didn't answer my question.

Personally, I think she looks more like a fairy, but it doesn't matter what it's called. It belongs to Star, so she can call it whichever she wants to call it. I think it's cute and will look good in whatever setting she choses to put it.

The box says she's a solar angel. She is a welcome addition to my household no matter what.

ROFL..... goes to show you that I didn't read the box! I just saw it and liked it. Uh, I did read the directions for mine, but didn't pay any attention to what it said it was.
