Photo Friday STRANDED - DubiousQuestForLOVE-" & Finding Wal-Mart ET suggested the topic of STRANDED for a Photo Friday topic. This takes me back to a time when I truly felt STRANDED. In 2006, I relocated to Texas from West Virginia to follow a Love Connection with a Texas Truckdriver. The thing big about that Fool Hearted man was his ego. Take the El Toro Doo Doo out That egotistical, presumptuous illiterate Texas Trucker and he might fit into a matchbox I will never understand how a man can be attracted to short petite blonds, pursue the opposite, take her half way across the country to BumFiretrUCK, Texas, and mock her for not being a short petite blonde.. I am sure the short blonde petite lot lizards have fun standing line to give him all the casual localized kisses that he craves for a price. Twenty three dollars and some change according to him. I didn't find love but I did find Wal-Mart instead. I ended up working at Wal-Marts in Texas, Nevada, and Virginia in 2007. So along comes Mr. Gemini Rising. I transferred from Wal-Mart in Covington, Virginia to Sam's Club in Charlottesville, Virginia. Eight months later, he brings home a tall, not so petite practicing alcoholic blonde eventually dies on him. At least I was stuck someplace I didn't mind being. Eventually, I did a job transfer back West Virginia and took care of my late ex-husband. We had a complicated relationship. We cohabitated, for 4 years, married for 7 years, divorced, and eventually ended up cohabitating again. This time he was very sick and needed a careprovider. He died in 2013. The Dubious Quest for Love may be the ship that has already sailed. I will not allow it to leave me STRANDED ever again.     Abracadabra  |

The first photo comes from a sign I found in a Baltimore Hostel. The second one is a trail near Monticello. The third one is my shadow in the slave graveyard in Monticello. The forth one is from the Baltimore Hostel Shortly after Grumpy died, I started getting on the train and traveling to places I've never been. It's great to be able to explore new places without getting into painful relationships. . Abracadabra

I didn't see the suggested topic, but I've got an idea of what to post for it. One thing about you...… you might have been stranded, but you just kept on keeping on and didn't sit in a pity party! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

You can never say you didn't try and give it your best shot. Maybe Mr right is just around the next corner.  Nice set of photos. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
