Tachycardia , Wacky Weed & The Ancestors.

Earlier this month, I had a Doctor's Appointment to check out my left hip. I think it is an old running injury that has come back to haunt me. I expected the Doctor to check the hip, get an x-ray and send me to an Orthopedist.

What happened instead is that she checked my heart, placed me on an EKG machine, had me wheel chaired over to ER and suddenly - I am admitted to Grumpy's not so favorite Bed & Breakfast in ICU.

Four years ago, on the day - Grumpy was in ICU and was sent home. I took care of him with the help of Hospice. I miss him but I know that he's was glad to get out of that body.

This is not a good scenerio. What was really aggravation is that I LEFT MY CELL PHONE at home. All my are in that phone. When I was told that I would be admitted, I asked if I could go home, pick up my laptop, phone and charger. NO! Not unless I signed out AMA and there would be no guarantee that they would let me back in.

The Questions are interesting. Do you smoke? NO!!! Do you drink? NO! Are you on any kind of medication? NO! Do you take any kind of illegal drugs? No FiretUCKing Way! Not even Marijuana? Absolutely NOT! You haven't tried it even once? We won't judge you or call the law. How exasperating. ACTUALLY - I tried Marijuana when I was 19 and decided that I like Vodka better but had give that up 40 years ago.

It has to be your Free Spirited Nature - my girlfriend pointed out. It IS possible to be a Free Spirit without indulging in self destructive behavior.

The Cardiologist told me that I was being monitored in ICU because I have no history of heart problems. So now I have to take medication and give up coffee (Bah Humbug, my ONLY vice) I told them that I would be the worse possible patient so that they would let me out early.

I didn't join Grumpy in the SpiritWorld but I am one step closer to becoming an ancestor. Gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Life of Life's Terms.

Joe has the A-fib, but it doesn't create a fast pulse, just a very irregular one and they wouldn't let him have coffee or tea or cola in the hospital. When he was discharged, the cardiologist said he was more concerned with SALT than with coffee, so he can have some coffee every day.
Sure hope you hip is better, or did they forget about that?

I will be seeing an Orthopedist next week. I am going to tell her not to check my heart.

Nothing bothered me much until you said you had to give up the coffee. You poor thing! Hang in there.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

Sorry to hear that news Star, at least they caught it in time. Take care and try to listen to what they say. What the heck is that in your urine sample?
