Dirty "F"ing scumbag...........

Some scumbag tossed out a cat and it wandered up to our place reduced to skin & bones. I got it a bowl of food and dish of water out in the Beemer pad where it is warm.

Our barn cats are all well fed from mice and cat food we set out for them in the outbuildings and stable.

Get the cat warmed up and fed before I take it down to the barn. The person that would just toss out an Animal needs to be "Tossed Out" without food or water out in the wilderness for a few days. Busy day miss JD... having spicy Chinese for dinner tonight

It's a shame that the black cat was turned loose out by your farm, but I'm sure it will recover after a few days of being well fed. Cats are tough and real survivors.

I had a cat drag itself onto my porch a little over a year ago. It was so weak and malnourished that it could barely move. I fed it for a couple days and it fully recovered. I took it out to my cousin's farm to be a mouser, but it soon decided it wanted to be a house cat instead. LOL!

It was a little warmer today reaching a high of +15F, calm, clear. It is supposed to warm up to 33F by Monday then fall back down with more snow. I used the snow blower today to open up my driveway to the street, and give me foot access to my garbage bin.

Some people are just cruel and don't give a damn. So glad the little black cat has found a good home with you.

People think cats are independent.. They are because they are born with trust issues from necessity. They begin by trusting nothing but their mother.
For cats love is trust.
Once their trust is gained.. It's really hard to lose.. because for cats, unlike humans trust is one sided. Cats, unlike dogs, never feel guilty if they lose YOUR trust.

You can't reprimand a cat. they will always misinterpret it. Seeing it as an action not a reaction. Their training is entirely about how you reward them, and not about how you punish them.

Have not named him yet... as barn cats come & go on their own, however, he seems quite chipper today.

Kitty has a loud Perrrrrrrrrer and seems to be adjusting to farm life. I need to check and see if it still has his claws.

I'll take him down to the stable tomorrow after the wind dies down ... introduce him to the horses.
